I've only just discovered what a gem this place is. My first visit was to buy a strong padlock with a key. The person I spoke to for advice was so helpful and patient; I bought exactly what I needed. The second visit was 'Click and collect' for 2.5m of very good quality downpipe at half the price I was expecting to pay. Blisteringly fast collection - and with a smile from the staff. Highly recommended.

I was quite frustrated with what i heard in store, an older gentleman was collecting an order and was repeatedly told (in quite a brash tone) that he needed to sign in to collect it. No one seemed bothered with helping him or even being polite to the poor bloke, just dismissive and irritated. I understand you have systems in place like this but i don?t think they are particularly user friendly.. especially to the older generation of customers. Overall a miserable experience.

Not allowing tradespeople to use the customers credit notes? I am just the customer, I don't know what I am supposed to be buying, I am at work thats why I hired someone to do it for me. Not helpful one day my tradesperson being able to use the note, then the next being told this was 'not allowed' Ironically, the credit note was originally given to my mum, not even me as I work during screwfix opening hours and can never get there) I suppose its a way of them making money off peoples misfortune. It will never get spent so win, win for them.

2 chaps behind the counter, talking to each other, not working.No-one else in the shop but they didn't want to type in my order number, I had to use the in-store app to check in in order to get my goods.According to the confirmation text I received, using the in store app was supposed to be my choice, if I wanted a speedy service.It did not speed anything.You'll need to use someone else carpark (always full), so you might as well go round the corner to Toolstation.And, if you want something else, not on your order, I wanted a bulb, you'll have to use the iPad to put in your order because they can't do it straight on the till.Self service is OK but not when human beings are available and doing nothing.

Coming back to the UK things have changed... You have to now pay for an order rather than on delivery.
I ordered some cable, & was told two days for pick up, a week later it still has not arrived = rubbish
