The Torquay Bank Manager is wonderful. A young guy who is super efficient and kind. All the staff are great.

Really disappointed with the service at this branch. Got there two minutes before closing at 1pm and they wouldn't let us in, all we wanted to do was pay cash in. Thought ok, we can do that at the cash point right outside, but no one had bothered to refill the envelopes!! Closing at 1pm is ridiculous when your customers work full time 5.5 days per week. Next visit, wanted to add my partner onto an account to make it joint, we are both Halifax customers and already have one joint account. Got completely dismissed and told we would have to make an appointment. It would be a shame to see high street banks close down but when the service is this poor, it wouldn't be a surprise. They aren't exactly doing much to keep the customer happy.

Have twice tried unsuccessfully to open an account here. You actually have to book an appointment for so.ethong as some as an instant access account. Gave up.

Had to leave them after 10 years of being a loyal customer. My account became subject to fraud and they sided with the fraudster. Had to find a new bank very quickly. Caused incessant hassle and stress. I don't recommend them. Loyal custom means nothing.

I pay for a full access service which means with my reward card Iâ??m entitled to speak to the cashier at the desk, but if you dare to step into line and wait youâ??ll get hassled constantly by the host either until you leave or put headphones in to use the machines. Please Halifax, we understand how it all works but do not trust them for cheque or cash deposits. Youâ??d get 1 star if it wasnâ??t for a certain member of staff who is lovely and your only saving grace. I even got my mortgage from Halifax but refused to go in after you tried screwing me on dates & fees, I got a better deal and no fees through a broker!!!

There seems to be something wrong with the attitude of the staff which seems to come from management. Management have a snotty attitude which cannot be questioned! It has to be wondered how these individuals obtain their position; talent is not a prerequisite that springs to mind. Reminiscent of local council amateurs.

Horrible bank, and horrible unhelpful staff !!
After going into this place, and getting the bad service I got, I closed my account and went with the Nationwide !
