My van was booked for a brake check on Saturday 2nd August at 8.30 am as i had a brake light warning. I left the van and arranged to collect at 3pm. On arrival I was told the rear pads and discs needed replacing. The van hadn't been moved from the spot where I parked it. On Tuesday 5th August my local garage did an oil change and I asked them to have a look at the brakes. On collection, they told me that whilst on the ramp, they discovered a brake sensor wire broken which caused the warning. The rear pads were less than 50% worn and the discs were fine. I contacted halfords autocentre and asked how they diagnosed my brake fault without inspecting it. The manager said ge would look into it and call me back. So far I have had no further contact. This is not the first time I have had issues with this centre. I only returned because I have brakes for life which they now won't honour because they have changed the original promotion deal.
The service is extremely poor, the inspection was non existent and the diagnosis was incorrect, and missed a broken sensor wire. I highly recommend that you use a reputable garage and not this company of money grabbing cowboys

Previously had good experiences with this branch. However, of late service has gone downhill.
They fitted a new battery in June and hacked plastic surround without telling me, found the damage when I next topped up screenwash. They were also unable to resolve an air con issue as their machine wasn't working.
Car went back in early July after a breakdown. It was in the garage for a week before I was told the issue. I had to call every day for an update as nobody was contacting me. When they finally confirmed the cause of the breakdown, they informed me that due to health and safety, they couldn't do the repair. I had to arrange for another garage to collect and repair.
Once the car was returned, there was a dashboard panel missing, which I am still trying to resolve with Halfords.
Update 12th August.
After 2 phone calls to branch, numerous phone calls with customer services, an emails the matter is still unresolved. Halfords are ignoring my complaint.
Further update, Halfords deny removing panel. So, I'm out of pocket as had to order replacement panel from Vospers.

Utterly useless... Arrived for my tyre appointment only to find that the tyres had not been delivered and the only alternatives cost an extra £70 (shock). I agreed to pay this, but the bloke behind the desk (big beard) showed no understanding or knowledge of my original Klarna payment, and told me I had to wait at least 2 hours to hear back on that before the tyres could go on.
In the end I cancelled and took the car home, without one apology for the inconvenience. Non-existent service, and even worse customer service. Please don't bother replying to this with a generic message, we both know this is but a drop in the ocean for Halfords. Thanks team!

Took my car in for a MOT and major service bundle, costing me over £300. Got home and partner looked in the bonnet only to find none of the service items had been changed, or topped up! They didn?t do any of the service! The MOT was done but it?s questionable? the advisory said the front discs are worn but the service paper said they?re 100%. Avoid this place at all costs - huge safety issue in thinking a car has been serviced when it hasn?t. I still hoping for a full refund but I also hope that no one else has this happen to them .

Check your invoices for works carried out. I questioned the amount when paying initially. Should have checked on the spot with a quick Google search. Ended up paying £120 a corner for some budget tyres. Lots of visits from myself in person and promised price match refunds later no refund. I'm £250 down and Halfords at all levels don't care.

Had a problem with a slow puncture, losing pressure after about a month. Booked the car in for 14.00 Adam solved the issue and was away about 14.20. Really quick and efficient service would recommend them if you have a problem. Will be using again if needed.

Dont use this garage people!!!!.Wont be usin this place ever again had a tyer repaird as had nail in it patched it in wrong place on purpsoe wonder y did for free thought was nice of em at first so wen i lost air again went another garage telling me cant repair it as cant do 2 patchs next each other so had get new michilen pilolt sport 4 tyer costin me 156 quid if was done rite first time would be 25 quid ovs dint cheak for air leaks after fix it like a normal repair garage would fuming aint the word and rang em up dint care on phone was spose be manger phone me dint even ring me like was spose to cuz ov he noes wat did to my car thats y did for free

I recently visited Halfords Autocentre to replace two new tyres and was impressed with the professional service I received. I had also been experiencing an unusual noise coming from one of my wheels and the team identified the root cause of the issue with precision.
Adam, the branch manager, went above and beyond by providing clear and helpful supplementary information, including pictures, which made it much easier to understand the issue and the proposed solution. His expertise and attention to detail were genuinely appreciated.
The overall quality of service was excellent and the pricing was reasonable. It?s clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority at this branch.
