Clean helpful staff

My elderly and disabled mother was recently seen by the optician service for an eye test following cataract surgery. On collecting the glasses she was convinced that the frames were not as chosen and became extremely upset and agitated. Karen, the assistant manager was absolutely phenomenal in her customer care, defusing the situation with great care and compassion. It was a master class in customer service and very much appreciated by me and my mum.

20 minutes in line to pick up prescription- no apology, serving people behind me and others in the next aisle for medicines and then pulling silly faces when people were getting agitated. The nhs is under stress absolutely but customer service costs nothing and this pharmacy has NONE.

Always approachable, friendly and helpful. I imagine job is very stressful these days so thank you for being there for us every day.

Absolutely Joke of a pharmacist! Terrible customer service, never have your prescription ready ! EVER ! Told to come back, well when you've had to travel to collect its not always easy to just come back ! The staff are incredibly incompetent, they have no idea what they are doing. I am filling an official complaint with boots with the way I've been treated here. Choose a local pharmacist over these Jokers ! Need to get better.

What has happened to this once lovely store ?( Boots, willows Torquay ) Only self service tills now, hardly any staff on the shop floor. The make up counters all un manned . It?s really not a pleasant experience anymore. Such a shame, I feel sorry for the staff.

The staff at Boots are as helpful as they have always been, but I don't like being bullied into using self-checkout tills (that don't take cash, by the way). Don't get me wrong, they've been around for more than 40 years and most of us are perfectly capable of using them without the help if a bad tempered, condescending youngster. I know they help to keep a long queue moving. In other stores sometimes I use them, sometimes I don't, all I'm asking for is a little choice. I wanted to buy something from the over the counter medicines section and, inspite of the fact that the assistant and I were standing right by the till in a quiet store, I was told I had to pay for it at the self-checkout. I told her thank you, but she could keep it and I went to buy it elsewhere. I am sure Boots won't miss one customer (I used to enjoy going into Boots, but I avoid it now). I am confident that no-one from Boots will read this review, nor do they care what their customers actually think. It's s shame, because I used to like No7 skin care.

So Boots responded with a stock answer that every negative review receives. For a minute there you might think they care. In fact, they gave me a number for topics totally unrelated and then it cut me off. Since the take over, Boots, you have really gone down hill! Absolutely not impressed!!

Have installed self service pay tills. Total disaster. Huge queue, no one knows how to work. Can't pay at pharmacy till, only front door tills. Gave up and handed back my £90 shopping. Never again

Was calling for 4 hours to see if my prescription was ready for my pain medication ended up driving up there when I shouldnt be driving, to find 4 members of staff behind the pharmacy 2 chatting not working. Spike a a rude woman to be told 15 mintue wait no problem 30 mins go by not called my name out. New lady ask my name and if I'm waiting told her she only finds my medication was already done and in the draws behind they couldn't organise a pee up in a brewery. This isn't the fist time I have had a problem last time was insulin

Went to collect some medicine for my dad (10 minutes before closing time on the 30th of May) that was not ready with the other medicines on the initial prescription. I was then given a printout to give back to the pharmacist, but today I was told it may have already been collected, which was incorrect. I was asked numerous questions, as if I was being saved from overdosing on cholesterol tablets. If the records on your system are wrong, it?s not my fault. I spent 15 minutes driving to Boots and another 15 minutes back. Very poor customer service experience. I actually left frustrated and gave up on taking the medicine. I will buy it myself from somewhere else.

Supposed to collect needles for my insulin pen . Totally unhelpful awful woman who had absolutely zero interest in doing anything positive . All she did was look over me at the ceiling and look bored. Where do they get such people from ? Do they train them or not? Govt is saying give pharmacies more responsibility ! God help us ! Having said that , there are other more helpful staff here . It is a lottery who you get! Poor experience and now I can understand the large number of bad reviews.
