We called in to B&Q to look at kitchens and paint during our visit. we met Richard, who only works on Wednesday mornings in the paint department. Richard was so helpful with advice and product knowledge he guided us in the correct direction with friendly advice, which we took on board, and we will be returning to B&Q to complete our purchases

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience at Trade Point Torquay. I ordered tools for my new job, starting Monday, and was assured they?d be ready for collection by Friday. Upon arrival, I was told the delivery hadn?t arrived. I waited over an hour after being reassured the order was "with DPD" and expected soon.
The next day, the manager, David, contradicted this, claimed I misunderstood, and said it would arrive by 1 p.m. It didn?t. By Sunday, I was informed my order wasn?t coming at all, and David admitted he didn?t know if it ever would. Instead of offering solutions, he seemed indifferent, even stating he was prepared to lose a customer over this.
No one apologized or took responsibility for the time, fuel, and stress I wasted. Starting a new job without the necessary tools is already anxiety-inducing, and this experience only made it worse. I was offered a £20 store credit for fuel, which is an insult given the poor service and lack of accountability.
Trade Point has let me down massively, and I wouldn?t recommend relying on them.

Way over priced!! £4.00 for 1 shelf bracket!! I got a pack of 20 elsewhere for £9.00. B&Q is an absolute rip off. Avoid!!

Went in today looking for storage boxes. Was looked after by a brilliant young man, can't spell his name, but it's pronounce d Jao? Sorry if it's wrong. He totally went out of his way to help, measuring the items I was interested in. Carried the items to the check out then to the car. Brilliant service and so polite. Thank you.

The owners of popular Torbay burger van business Big Mama's have been left 'devastated' after one of their vans was stolen just eight weeks after expanding into a new location in Torquay.
The business, which was set up four years ago during the coronavirus pandemic by friends Jazmine and Birchell-King and Gina Hatzer, has been a success in the car park of Homebase in Newton Abbot.
Jazmine said: "It's devastating. How can anyone do this to people? I've got twin daughters and Gina has her family; we are just trying to create better lives and someone is trying to ruin it.
"CCTV footage shows two men dressed in black cutting the van off its chains and it being towed away by a white custom transit van".
If any responsible person has any information relative to this immature abhorrent theft then please contact Devon and Cornwall Police immediately..

I went into B&Q this afternoon and spoken to a lovely chap called Nigel. I explained to him what I needed and he pointed me in the right direction and helped me choose the right stuff I needed. Also gave very good advice on a drill I wanted to get and he showed me that there was one on offer which was a very good bargain indeed. thank you Nigel for being so helpful ???
