It's a nice venue, the food is excellent but, I ordered Mackrell for £19, expecting some veg & potatoes. I got basically just the fish. Had pudding but we had a takeaway when we got home as we were hungry.

The pizzas going past were burnt as was the meat stuffed flat bread served to my friends.
3 chunks of polenta fried crispy and a teaspoon of creamy cheese does not constitute a starter.
My green bean and chickpea curry was bland and the overcooked rice was all stuck together in a clump. Service was very slow. I shall avoid in future!

I don't often order steak but because I've had fabulous meals here before so I thought I would give it a go, but the bavette /skirt beef whilst being a little tough did not at all make up for it in flavour which is what I had hoped. It's only goes to show that it is increasingly difficult to get really flavourful well hung beef in this country.

Lovely place, delicious food, friendly and helpful staff - what more could you want? It was an hour's drive to get there, but it was worth it.

The Lost Kitchen?s rustic charm ??
Summer is officially here, and so is their brand-new seasonal menu at @thelostkitchendevon in beautiful Devon! Drawing from their kitchen garden and the finest local artisan producers, every dish celebrates the flavours of the South West. ?
? My featured highlight ?
Pulled Lamb Flatbread ? tender, slow?cooked lamb pulled apart and accompanied with a freshly baked flatbread, topped with vibrant herbs, cool yoghurt, and zingy pickles. This dish is the perfect fusion of rustic comfort and zesty summer freshness. ??
You can enjoy summer al fresco in their barn or garden terrace, the perfect backdrop for a lazy lunch or relaxed evening with friends. Book now and taste the season, farm-to-fork.

Just had a fantastic meal here. We'd booked and the welcome was warm and friendly and we were offered an indoor or outdoor table, and opted for indoor as the seats looked more comfortable.
We had some questions about items on the menu and these were answered well and when our choices arrived we were very happy. You can taste the freshness in everything. The service was attentive without being at all intrusive.
I recommend saving room for the desserts! The Eton Mess with roasted plums - spot on for a summer evening, and the Mango and Blood Orange Sorbet is pure heaven.
Will be returning to this local gem, total thumbs up!

Looked a really nice place to eat, arrived and were told the kitchen is backed up, we could have coffee and cake. We said ok was shown to a table and left for over 10 mins. People arriving after us were being seated and served from full menus. Decided they didn't deserve our custom. A shame really as looks a nice place

Beautiful spot with excellent food, laid back atmosphere, great staff, all at a fair price.

The food was generally great, but was a bit disappointed by the pizza. It was good but just not as special as I had been told. Everyone else in my party loved theirs. Everyone stopped and looked when people walked in and out, which felt a bit cliquey.

Well worth a visit. Not the usual boring fair. The mains menu is interesting and the cake I had was absolutely yummy.
