“We booked for lunch at The Stag. Unfortunately the outside is in need of some loving, compared to the old pictures, but the inside is lovely and rustic. It is only a small place with big tables, so we recommend booking. The food was lovely. We’re both vegetarians, but one of us doesn’t have dairy either and this place catered for us. In fact they went out of their way to double check or offer something else, for the more awkward of us.. everything was cooked to perfection and tasted lovely. I had the sherry trifle (it definitely had sherry in). This place also allows dogs. The staff were friendly and even offered to run us somewhere, if we couldn’t get a taxi. We would return here, if we’re ever in the area again.”

“Everything is fantastic but stay far away from the immediate pay in machine, it deserves a hammer! Every time I use it it spends ages complaining that it can’t recognise notes and so what’s the point.”
