Foreboding landmark high up on a hill with an amazing 360 degrees view.We went up late in the day on a very wet and windy afternoon with no path but grass and mud - you'll need boots! A nice safe haven at the top.We went to visit the church as it is one of the few places in England where the Mary and Michael Ley lines cross, I think the crossing place is further down the hill though and we must return to find it. Spectacular views and a short but invigorating stroll from the car park below

Beautiful church in the most unique setting I've ever visited. Steeped in history and still used to this day. Short but sometimes steep climb up the grass hill, steps only to the church itself. It welcomes visitors but asks you to close the door behind you to prevent birds from getting trapped inside. Donations are welcome, card or cash. Free car park opposite with toilet facilities ??

Quirky little church but what an amazing view once you get up the top of the hill.

Perched photogenically on top of a hill on Dartmoor, this beautiful 900 (!) year + old church is absolutely worth your time. Generous parking takes you to a short (if steep) walk where you will a lovely viewpoint. You can join in sermons on Sunday evenings during the lighter months. The bell ringers here are an absolutely charming group and we were made to feel so welcome. Small but full of history (there are small, detailed books and postcards for sale) this is a hidden gem on the moors.

Beautiful Church steeped in history also spectacular views. Very slippery in some areas during rain. The church is open for the public to view. It can be a little difficult for the hard of walking unfortunately not accessible by wheelchair. There are public toilets in the car park but these stay closed till 1st April. There are benches on the top to have a little rest. Enjoy

Beautiful church in a beautiful setting. We were lucky when we visited as the weather was great - sunshine & a gentle breeze. Made the climb up from the car park relatively easy. Can imagine that you would have to choose a good day for your visit as the church is exposed on the top of the hill. Great views through 360 degrees with Dartmoor in one direction & Bodmin in the other. Loved the walk & the views & could easily have spent a lot more time there. Thoroughly recommended.

Absolutely stunning!!! Not a bad walk up the hill from the car park either. It's like something out of a medieval film.

Visited in July on a stunning sunny day, but lovely breeze so easy to walk in. There is a well sign posted car park, just across the road from the start of the walk itself. The church / walk Is up a hill, but there is a long winding route you can take that?s not killer on the legs. It?s a short but pleasant walk. Extremely windy once up top, even on a sunny day.

Visited today (28.12.2021) it was so windy and we almost got blown off the top taking photos, I got lifted off the ground a few times! So didn't get as many photos as i would of liked. Will definitely be re visiting. It's such a lovely view from the top and the church is amazing. It was closed today inside and dogs are welcome which is a bonus. So much history to be taken in and admired here
