Appalling attitude from both the women in there,really aggressive in which they spoke and not at all nice,they literally scream at you if you try to walk in with a dog it's not acceptable,how are they still allowed to work there,disgusting!

Have been here numerous times now and on each occasion there has been a massive queue for service at the counter. Today was the same, it appeared that one computer wasn?t working, so only one staff member could serve, and required a very long wait. It has put me off going here any more.
The staff are nice, but not enough positions open.

More often than not, there's a large queue due to the 3 or 4 staff bumbling about the store doing everything but serving queueing customers for postal services.
If you're changing currency, get the staff to count it in front of you, then recount it. The last time I change Sterling into Euros, I was 40 Euros short. It's a good job I had them recount it in front of me whilst still in the store.
Also, the staff at this post office lie. Twice I've tried to return a parcel who return via Evri, with a QR code. I took my parcel to this PO, with my QR code and was told straight, we don't do Everi returns! They do. The Everi website lists this post office as an approved return Post Office.
This post office is a shambles. I now use the one at Yelverton. It's night and day as far as accepting any return parcels, politeness, and speed of service.

Absolutely diabolical experience. I am a seller and was notified that parcel had arrived for buyer to pick up here. When she got there they told her no package was in her name when I received both email confirmation and tracking confirmation it had arrived. The buyer notified me of the issue so i called the store to find out what was going on as this has never happened before. I was referred to some rude woman who didn?t even let me speak and completely cut me off saying i had to contact royal mail when i didn?t even ship with royal mail? Again, tried to explain the situation but she hung up while i was speaking. Conveniently the tracking updated again saying parcel is ready to collect shortly after this phone call. Very dodgy place and RUDE MEMBER OF STAFF!!! If you do not want to be contacted then remove your number from online. POOR SERVICE

Good central location with plenty of ( paid ) parking opposite. Don?t park in small adjacent car park as you only get 20 mins.
And that really is where the problems start.
There are four counters but only one is ever manned, there is another counter at the shop end which will do parcels but for most everything else you will need to queue.
The sign that says unable to do passports / driving licence?s today is a near permanent fixture. For a town post office that serves 12K people plus a large catchment area it?s woefully understaffed.

Really helpful friendly lady at the counter who not only helped me get my car a new V5 but also helped with taxing my car on the same day! Great member of staff well done her ! Very professional ?

Went to collect a parcel 20 minutes before the advertised closing time but guess what? They had already closed.It's not good enough, I needed the contents of that parcel that evening.

My sister in law made a special journey from Bere Alston to renew her photo driving license, a service shown as available at the Tavistock branch. However after queuing for 20 minutes she was told that as there was only one person on shift so the service was not available as it takes too long! My sister in law was advised to return in future! Not good enough. The post offices lack of staffing and poor planning, queuing time (which is always at least 15 minutes no matter how many of them are serving) is not good enough.

Stupid amout of long ques out of the four counters ,only one open ,then 20 mins before they close the lady pulled down the closed counter sign and walked off ,then someone from the shop was behind the counter ,and a man from the main shop as he had no customers came and got people to serve at his counter

Waited over 15 minutes in a queue in the post office. The blind was down on one section saying that was closed, the woman literally hid behind the blind ignoring everyone in the queue at the unmanned but open booth. Eventually a man came over from the shop side and asked us to go to his section where we did our transactions. Why the woman didn't communicate with any of the customers I do not know, it was rude, ignorant and I have never experienced anything like it in a post office in my life. Avoid if you can!
