Ridiculous location.
A very quick get off here with a short slip road, so beware. There's not much parking here at all, just 4 spaces directly to the left as you go in and two on the other side of the free cash machine, although one is for the overpriced aircompressor.
Complete madness in the shop and at the pumps due to the card machines being broken and it being cash only, which was creating a backlog of customers and cars at the pumps. There's was also a working on a ladder tracing cables in-between the customer in the roof voids that added to the chaos.
Shop extremely overpriced. it's disgraceful that companies can charge these prices just because of its location.
Toilets available, clean and spacious
HGV is fueling to the rear of the services , and keep right as you enter for access to the HGV pumps.
Staff friendly, more so one chap with shoulder length and hair with glasses working on 20/6/2025
Getting out of here is dangerous with the need to cross two lanes to get back on the road, we couldn't do it, so we had to take a detour via the slip lane off the motorway though a village etc using all the feul we just flipping brought.

Dangerous air compressor. Beware that Shell will deny any control on this independent provider. Air-Serve.co.uk.
The compressor never reached 38 psi. I had just changed all tyres over to winter/off-road on a classic Land Rover. You cannot view the actual pressure reached.
I had to give up. I now have a vehicle which is potentially dangerous with having uneven pressures on either side or front and rear. Who knows? A total waste of £1.50.
Complain? What's the point. The coffee seller behind the till was on his own. A phone call to his manager produced the same result. "Tell 'im to bleedin' well phone the number on the machine!"
Well, dearest Shell, there is no bleedin' number on the machine! Just an email address.
So, Shell me' darlings, get a contract with a reputable and dependable supplier. Failing that, try to run these machines yourself. But perhaps you don't give a monkeys for the real issues of motorists?

Stopped for a top up of fuel late one evening and the young lady with short black hair who is always on nights is a credit to the company. Her customer service is spotless. And she always has a smile on her face.

Just stopped for a Costa Coffee and saw they did a meal deal, grabbed my coffee and then stood at the counter for the member of staff called David who was busy texting on his mobile phone to serve me, I asked for a sausage roll and he rudely said you help yourself!I guess his mobile phone was more important than serving customers and customer service with a smile!

The pumps are okay not the best but the hot-dog was awful didn?t have one single bit in it.The staff was asking me to put a mask so I put on and she told me that I was rude because of forgetting to put my mask one when I?m exempt.Just this SHELL STATION WAS AWFULL AND THE WORST WAS THE HOTOGS

Be careful not to eat their deli counter sausage rolls! I bought 1 today, 10 minutes down the motorway, had a bite into raw pork, tasted foul! How can this happen? If a child had the whole thing it'd be seriously ill.

Walk in to pay for fuel and greeted by nothing but attitude"Where is your mask" I replied "I don't wear them" to which she said "Why?"In the nicest way possible how is that any of your business? Are you even allowed to ask people that? You work in a petrol station!! wind your neck in a bitPerfect way to start my Monday morning!! JUST RUDE
