Not the best but pretty good for the price, must be one of the cheapest places to eat in Sidmouth, the service was excellent and the food served fast and hot, the mushy peas where real home made tasting ones.

I can't say it was the best or largest fish and chips I've had but it features very near the top of the list for value. There was plenty of food for around £12 where nearby pubs charge £17-£18. There were quite a few other dishes available and what I saw all equally good in value, with prices around £8. OK no beer on sale but soft drinks at competitive prices. Popular, clean with friendly, helpful and supportive staff I'd say, for a tourist area, it can't be bettered. Brilliant for lunch.

Always enjoy a pensioners fish and chips here. Great value and a good size portion for me complete with cup of tea. The only downside is the peas, I would prefer garden peas as I don't like mushy peas. Friendly staff.

Great place for Fish and Chips very good choice of other cafe type meals too. Prompt friendly service and roomy restaurant. Very good value (we ate in but takeaway available) and lovely tasty food. We'll worth a visit.

While we were in Sidmouth. This week. We called in the white horse chip shop. Ate in the seating area. Food was absolutely great. Fantastic menue. Staff were great. Very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Service was very good. If you are in Sidmouth. Highly recommend this fish and chip shop. Thanks guys

Great fish and chips! Good size portions and everything is freshly cooked. Worth the wait if there is a queue, but they work very hard to serve everyone very quickly. Highly recommended.

Sit in for fish & chips.
Excellent quality, cold drink nice and cold.
Portion size (cod & chips) was filling.
Service was fast even though busy in Folk Week. And very friendly.
Easy to find a table, but decor pretty bland.
Recommended.

Honestly, I don't know where to start. Average tasting food, not seasoned. Tasted ok and priced ok. Won't go back! I've been coming here for over 20 years... much better places to go!!! Attitude to my comments weren't well received ?

Avoid, worse chips I've ever had, they were dry and tasted like they had been cooked in old oil, thankfully I didn't pay for fish, the peas were OK, a rainy miserable day, made worse by horrible food, wonder if the chef had a day off, I only went because of good reviews.

I ordered a quarter pound burger the one I got was not a quarter pound but a thin patty burger un toasted bun no salad very bland did not eat it not a nice taste wasted my money

Absolutely delicious! Freshly cooked fish and chips, a lovely traditional fish and chips shop, so rare to find these days!
