We called in on the spur of the moment for lunch today. Husband chose the Pan Fried Hake, he said it was wonderful, I do hope the compliments we voiced was conveyed to him.

Highly recommend . Abbie, Izzy and Susie were very welcoming which set a good atmosphere. The service was excellent from Laurence the waiter , plus , he had a good sense of humour .
The Carvery meats were beautifully cooked and very delicious as were the good range of vegetables . Apple and Sultana Crumble was home made and very yummy . The Specials and normal menu also looked very interesting . Will be back there soon definitely . Thank you Bowd Inn Sidmouth . Jan Rees

We went here today for an evening meal after reading the great reviews and we weren?t disappointed! ALL the staff were lovely, very attentive and first class service with a smile. We had a carvery & had the best one ever, piping hot & freshly cooked, having a tray to put our hot dinner plates on is a brilliant idea. The dessert menu had a great choice it was hard to choose just one each!Wished we lived nearer but if we did we would be the size of a house. Highly recommend a visit.

Great menu. Caters really well for vegetarians. Had the beef and ham buffet excellent. Cauliflower cheese was lovely.
Highly recommend. Limited choice of beer selling just otter brewery ales.

Very nice old modernised pub/restaurant.
Excellent maitre?d. Delicious food at the carvery. Other menu options were available.
Drinks ordered were forgotten, twice, but quickly rectified by the maitre?d. All in all an enjoyable meal out. Would definitely visit again.

Great location and very cute pub. Food was wonderful and the staff were just so friendly. We had the Seafood Linguine and the Fish and Chip, both of which were fresh and a great size. Highly recommend. Great selection of desserts.

We where very warmley welcomed and made sure i was comfortable being i had a mobility scooter. The staff and service was very quick the meal was good, we had treacle pudding one night which was delicious. The only thing i would liked to see was cheese and biscuits. If we are there agsin would go again really nice old pub
