What a wonderful place! It has a traditional ?ladies who lunch? vibe which reminded me of my favourite places from many years ago.
The manager, Helen, welcomed us in and, upon, hearing that one of the party was gluten-free & dairy-free and another was gluten-free (2 could eat regular food) she immediately gave us both the allergen menus (and the regular ones) and shared what GFDF options were available.
We ate:
- GFDF sausage roll, with coleslaw, crisps and salad, followed by GFDF Victoria sponge.
-GFDF steak pasty, again with coleslaw, crisps and salad, followed by GFDF apple & blackberry crumble with GFDF custard.
- GF mozzarella & pesto panini with salad, followed by GF cappuccino cake.
-Jacket potato with cheese, tuna & salad, followed by GF cappuccino cake.
We all found our choices delicious and as they were so similar to the ?regular? food that our two ?regular? eaters were very impressed with their GF and DF alternatives.
For a main, dessert and drink we paid approx £17 per person - very good value for the generous portions and yumminess!
Helen was so knowledgeable about allergies and allergens that she made this a fantastic holiday treat! Thank you ???

Another great experience here on our annual visit to Sidmouth. The food is amazing, and the staff are really friendly.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit, made extra special with the in depth checking for garlic intolerance!
MASSIVE G F MENU, supplied by a local GF producer, and completely supported throughout their menu!

Just a quick note on the hospitality everyone there showed us when we went in for a takeaway coffee and cake today. Very accommodating and friendly. Also excellent coffee and cake!

Popped in for lunch on a Saturday, was busy but no wait for a table, staff were friendly and food was with us in a very reasonable time! No complaints at all, will likely be back in the future!

Popped in with the hubby for a latte before a walk about. Lovely atmosphere, latte lively. Decided on a cheese scone but afraid it wasn?t home made so didn?t really enjoy it. Can?t beat the garden centres for a decent scone. .

Had a perfect baked potato with ultra fresh salad and Tuna today which was perfect on a cold January day. All the staff were very friendly and the service really quick. Can?t speak highly enough of this place and will use again for sure.
