Great presentation of Sunday roast and ample portions, very tasty but veg is very very al dente except Roast potato. The Flies need sorting though! I know staff said it's the weather but it's not great fighting them off!

The roast dinner here was incredible!! So glad we chose this pub for our Sunday lunch, all the veg was really fresh and meat cooked beautifully, and so reasonably priced, only sad part is we live 2 hours away and cant visit every Sunday!

Wow, what a find this place is! Friendly staff and beautiful food. Their menu has a selection of small locally sourced dishes which they call 'West Country Tapas'. Over two visits we tried about 10 dishes and every single one was delicious, fresh and beautifully cooked. Highly recommended.

Fantastic first visit to the Black River Inn, amazing food and service offering a wide range of tapas style local food dishes.
Cooked over a fire grill the food was exceptionally good and we would highly recommend paying a visit to this hidden gem.

Fabulous pub, superb food and really good attentive service from the two young waitresses who were never without a smile. The food was quite excellent. My wife and I had five dishes to share which was about right. Everyone was delicious. I recommend you book and give this place a try

Amazing Sunday roast, 3 different meats on a sharing board with vegetables and a teapot of gravy. Very good and excellent value. Staff very friendly as always.
