Amazing produce cooked well. Friendly helpful service. Food and staff not short on personality. I wish it was my local.

Visited for group meal for 18 people, parking at pub is a problem but there is a public car park about 75 yards away that usually has a fair bit of room. As we were a pre booked group, the menu was a little restricted from the normal menu but there was a fair selection. Worth a mention are the roast pork belly and the burgers, for the sweet it has to be the lemon curd pavlova. Downsides were the unusual selection of vegetables on offer with the meals.

My partner and I just got married at the lamb inn on 20/03/24This lovely pub/inn lives up to the lovely photos on its website and more.We wanted a elopement wedding and Nick, Vikky and the rest of the staff was soo amazing. We had to bring our daughters last min and it was no issue at all, everyone was so accommodating..I was greeted by a very friendly member of staff screaming, 'eek your the groom'Was lovely.Nick was constantly helping and ensuring was we OK.He even knew the nerves were kicking in and even offered me on my wedding day to go pour my own pint.Vikky was lovely, helping my beautiful wife into her dress and running around turning music on and filming our wedding. She also help us pick our photographer hannah frost who is amazing and finding a place for my wife to get her hair done. She made me laugh as my partner was ready coming from our suite.. shouting at me 'get in now!!' It was charming she cared so much.I had the best day of my life at this place with these wonderful people. The food..... omg the burger, the burger is the best burger I've ever ate.My wife had the brownie for pudding on our wedding meal and she told Nick was the best brownie she's eaten. The breakfast was lovely.. we didnt realise had to book in a time and was early but Nick did his best and got us seated an fed.The venue... I LOVE IT!!!!The garden, is beautiful honestly I took photos of everything, I fell in love with the place. The cobble road outside the pub, the path leading upto our suite, ahh its beautiful. They have a huge tree, a place for young kids to play, the outside garden has a throne.. which I obviously sat on. My wedding pics look amazing cause of this place.Inside its very clean and rustic vibe. The fireplace is stunning. The tap room has a novelty sheep's head (don't worry it's a toy not a real sheep's head lol)The whole place blew me away and I just had the best of time.My wife and I will travel another 6 hours to get to you as we live in Lincolnshire because The Lamb inn is apart of my love story.Thank you sooo much Nick vikky and the rest of the team.. I'd give you 10 stars if I could.LoveKarl Emma, Grace and Winter xxRooms: Our suite was amazing.Food & drinks: Best burger I've every ate

We have very recently had our elopement wedding at the lamb inn and it was amazing start to finish.Vikky and Nick put every effort into ensuring we had the most enjoyable, stress free wedding. From being our witnesses to filming the wedding for us to show family, to Vikky helping me into my dress. It was great. Nothing was too much trouble. The wedding suite was private and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The inn itself is beautiful and in a great relaxing location. My husband even thought the local shop was cute and was taking photos ?We got some great wedding photos outside and by the local church. The food is the best we've had, genuinely. And we eat out alot! We would definitely recommend the burger, and brownie ?Thankyou so much Vikky and Nick and all of your other lovely staff; we wish we could of stayed longer and we will definitely be back!Thankyou for sharing our special day.Emma and KarlXxRooms: Wedding suite was beautiful and well equipped.Food & drinks: Simply the best food.

My partner and I went to Sandford for the weekend and we chose to stay at the Lamb Inn. A beautiful location in a quaint little village. When we arrived the owner already knew who we were which was lovely and very welcoming. We were promptly shown to your room. We were in room 6 which was lovely. Not the largest of rooms but plenty of space and provided everything which was needed. A nice little coat rail by the door and a place for your shoes. An en suite with a good size shower. There was a TV to watch though we didn't use this facility. The bed was comfy and the window could be opened but restricted by a cable which is of course, a fantastic security feature. Biscuits, still water, fizzy water, tea, coffee and hot chocolate were all provided in the room and replenished each day.Once we had unpacked we headed back down to the pub area which was excellent. As some one who really enjoys a good traditional pub feel, the vibe here was brilliant so we had dinner and some drinks. There were even playing cards on the table in case you wanted to have a little game of something. Staff were very friendly and attentive and after ordering our food, it came very quickly. I had the burger and it was HUGE, no room for dessert afterwards thats for sure!In the morning we had breakfast at 9am. They serve a continental breakfast which was really nice, served in another room within the pub (the other side of the bar) which was a great touch as it just separated the dining experience of dinner. Once we sat down we were asked if we wanted tea or coffee, each of which were served in their own containers (small tea pot for tea and a small cafetière for coffee) and a small jug of milk on the table. Warm croissants and pain au chocolats were then provided and on the bar there was orange juice, apple juice, yoghurts, fruit and a selection of 3 cereals to choose from and help yourself to, all served with deliciously creamy freshly sourced local milk! Wholegrain or sourdough toast was also offered so plenty of energy provided for the day ahead. The location was lovely, almost like going back in time and I would not hesitate to go back again!Safety: Fire extinguishers available, room window was secured by a cable. No issues regarding my level of safety.Walkability: Walkability was easy. The first night we had to park by the church (only a couple of hundred meters away so no issue at all) and walking to the pub was no issue at all. There was a hill so this should be considered for anyone with mobility issues.Food & drinks: The food was excellent, great portions, fairly priced and a good selection to choose from.

Food & drinks: Delicious food and really good service. The burger was enormous and the beer fantastic. In my opinion, the correct combination ?. Nice atmosphere and we?ve had a really good time. Thank you.

Excellent!!. We were greeted with a wonderful open fire and smiles from the locals. We chose the cozy room which was small , but perfectly adequate. The cafetiere and ground coffee was a nice touch as were the biscuits. Lovely and warm, nice and clean. We sat by the fire in the pub and chatted, everyone was so kind and friendly, we loved it.We ate at the pub which was excellent. I'd describe it as gastropub food . I had the Moroccan lamb, cooked to perfection and my husband had belly pork. The hummus starter was homemade and divine. We look forward to staying here again.Thank you .

We stayed in Sandford for 5 nights, & ate here on our first night. The menu looked appetising, & we both ordered salt & pepper squid. We received 4 small squid rings each, that had no hint of salt & pepper. My wife's whitebait were simply fried, - not dusted with flour , as she anticipated. I had slow roasted belly of pork. - This was good. Service was slow, although the landlady did apologise. They are hot on marketing, & appear to have a lively social scene, so I would not say that I wouldn't go back, & I accept that based on one visit, this review cannot give the entire picture.

The Lamb Inn is truly wonderful! My husband and I recently stayed here and had such a lovely time. The room was pure luxury and the bed so incredibly comfortable! I really appreciated all the attention to detail, and couldn't fault any of the facilities. The hospitality was amazing. The staff are lovely and we were so well catered for! The continental breakfast was also delicious. Our dining experience was incredible too. The Sunday roast was AMAZING and the salmon was so sublime! I'm pescetarian and was impressed by all the tempting options on the menu- many yummy meat free choices.I would 100% recommend the Lamb Inn! One of the best getaways I've had in a long time.
