Fresh, expertly cooked seafood in a lively setting. The lobster, dressed crab, scallops, and mussels were all outstanding ? bursting with flavour and perfectly prepared. A must-visit for seafood lovers.

Was in seafood heaven, ordered the mixed platter and it was delicious. All was succulent with a garlic butter wine sauce finger licking good. Will visit again when next in area, book ahead.

Its probably the best restaurant in Salcombe for food!
Friendly fast service and great quality cooking in this small cozy seafood eaterie with views of the boats in the estuary. The chef is clearly great at preparing seafood well and the staff are all knowledgeable and helpful.
It may not be the most comfortable restaurant to sit in, or aspire for Michelin stars, but its solid in its offerings and delivery.
If I was to pick one restaurant in Salcombe to eat again at, this would be it.
Great scallops, delicious crab and relaxed casual atmosphere with fantastic views and all at a very reasonable price.

Can?t praise the team more highly . We messed around with bookings and numbers but they accommodated every time with a smile (at least on the surface!).Notwithstanding this the crux was the excellence of the food and service . If anything the wine mark up is a little pricey but the choice is there for all.

We had a wonderful time! The servers were so nice and friendly, and the food was absolutely incredible full of flavor and beautifully prepared. There were no issues at all, just a lovely lunch from start to finish. The crab was definitely the highlight we made a mess but it was so tasty! We did spend around £100 but we were a family of four.

Lovely welcoming staff, in a great location. The garlic prawns are in an absolutely stunning sauce!! Gorgeous fish and chips. A slightly more competitive price would have got me to 5 stars. We felt £14 for prawn starter was a little much.

Fabulous fish restaurant. Wonderful fresh ingredients beautifully cooked and presented in good size portions. Not cheap, but worth every penny.
Another fabulous meal. Crabby fries and the bouillabaisse particular highlights.

Set on the Salcombe Quayside, the Crab Shed offers freshly caught fayre in an intimate setting. The service was attentive, although our dog wasn't offered a bowl of water which you would expect at a dog friendly restaurant, and particular care was given to accommodate my crustacean allergy, The food was tasty; the scallops were delicious and my wife loved her linguini. A great little restaurant and well worth visiting; book well in advance as it gets busy!
