The Pharmacist and staff at Salcombe Boots chemist are always incredibly helpful. We residents are very lucky to have them. They also cope amazingly well with the various issues and emergencies from the influx of holiday makers. They are always extremely patient, polite, and go above and beyond to help. My wife was poorly on our visit to Salcombe with a recurring condition. Checked NHS website for appropriate pain relief (Take paracetemol. NOT Ibruprofen. NOT Codeine).Tablets didn't work, so I went to Boots pharmacist to ask for advice. Male pharmacist on hearing the condition and treatment so far, advised Ibruprofen. I asked if there was an alternative and he said Buscopan wasn't suitable. I pointed out the NHS advise regarding Ibruprofen and he fetched the Buscopan from the shelf!Visit didn't instill confidence, but the Buscopan worked.

The pharmacist was lovely and so helpful sorting out an emergency prescription whilst my mum was having an asthma attack. She took such good care of her, liaising with doctors and making us feel calm and safe.

MA huge thankyou to the Pharmacist and staff at Boots in Salcombe. Your help and service has been second to none on our holiday stay week commencing 12th September. My partner had left his essential medication at home in Stoke on Trent, which of course was a huge problem. The Pharmacist could not have helped more and due to his prescription being issued, we were able to continue our holiday in beautiful Salcombe.Many thanks Brian and Jo

Do not bother with this boots for holiday medication.I have had my prescriber notify the team weeks in advance that I would be arriving with a controlled prescription.The pharmacist at the time failed to cover for the pharmacist I saw, causing a breakdown in continuity of care.The pharmacist at the time misled both my mother and I on the quantity of medication they had, myself being told one thing and my mother another. Completely upset an entire holiday and set back my recovery.
