Great little shop, I have gone in there looking for the most random stuff and amazingly more often than not found it.I?ve advertised my business in their window, which proved very worthwhile.Staff are always friendly and so so helpful.I don?t often write reviews but having read some of the lower rated reviews while searching for Bonningtons telephone number I felt compelled to redress the balance.

Arrived at 17:26 had door slammed in my face by an incredibly rude and disrespectful lady with sort brown hair saying they were closing. Her attitude is disgusting! AVOID! Co op just around the corner has a much better selection of items and better prices.

We have been coming to Salcombe for 30 years and have always found the ladies at Bonningtons to be friendly and efficient.

We visited this shop while on our holidays... it is very small and quite claustrophobic, which makes browsing rather difficult - especially when there are more than one or two people in the shop!We chose some postcards from the rather paltry selection and went to the till...The lady serving at the till was extremely off in her manner from the start and clearly could do with some customer service training...she asked if I would be paying by card, to which I replied that I was planning on paying in cash. She snapped back - rather abruptly - and said that she wasn't accepting cash. However, she did accept my Daughters cash immediately afterwards?!!A couple of other customers attempted to walk in, and she barked at them to get out as too many customers in the store... she then proceeded to mumble under her breath about "having enough of all these people today"...Very rude and aggressive woman. We could not WAIT to get out of the store... Someone with her poor people skills, clearly shouldn't be employed to work at a till serving customers! Perhaps she could choose a career where she doesn't have to 'put up with all us people'? We are only paying her wages after all!!
