Wonderfully friendly staff, Elaine and Fiona were incredibly helpful, spending plenty of time with us to make sure we had a plan for our busy time in Salcombe! We would certainly stay again if in Devon!

If I could write an essay I wouldFiona and Elaine were the best hosts we have ever stayed withIt's obvious this is not just a business to themThey treat all their guests like familyWhen we arrived we were met by Fiona who spent at least 30 minutes going through where everything was ,she also showed us in detail where local amenities were ,walks for dogs ,points of interest etcOur first pitch was quite ample on was up on the main fieldUnfortunately we asked to move as it was next to the main gate so not good with 3 mad spanielsEven though it was their peak weeks they moved us on the 3rd day down on the bottom field .The original camping field before they opened the top one I think .This field does not have the sea view like the top but if you want peace and quiet it's ideal .It also does not have the large toilets showers etc .I beleive it has older small ones ( they were out of order during our stay)You have to walk for 5 min a bit uphill down a path, sometimes I had to drive round due to mobility problemsIf you do drive you have to drive through the static small park past their beautiful home ,out on the B Road and drive for a minute to main entrance and across to all the amenitiesOnly takes a few minutes thoughThey have a little shop on site that sells essentials including lovely sausages from a local farm shopShop is open for 2 hours morning and eveningThe showers are large and have to say so clean, the water pressure is great considering they are not on the main water supplyThey have a laundry room with a few washing machines and sinks to wash upThere are no play areas for children but they all seemed to absolutely love playing on site making their own fun and playing with Fiona and Elaine's beloved petsThere is a lovely circular walk on the site for your dogs and you can let them off their leads here if they are well behavedThere are many places to visitWe were let down by the weather the first week then had to cram things in the 2nd .Our time went so quicklyIt was a joy to see Fiona and Elaine each day they are the warmest kind and most friendly people you will ever meet staying at a parkRoads leading to site towing are tricky as they are narrow with the normal high hedges so you can't see what's comingThey do have some passing places so you just need to take careAll in all we had a fabulous holiday and will most definitely return to see more and of course to see Fiona and Elaine's smiling faces againTake care and thank you so much for being so accommodating ,we must of been hard work asking to move:)Caroline ,Andrew ,Alfie ,Lily and mad Archie

Amazing quiet site in a lovely location. Fiona was the kindest person with plenty of knowledge to share. Got the bus from Hope Cove to Thurleston & walked back. The walk to Salcombe was in my option the very best of the south west coast path. The amenity block is the best you will find. Loved it!!

Amazing campsite with fantastic views. The facilities were excellent and plenty of space between pitches. Finally was really lovely, had time for a chat and was a wealth of local knowledge. One of the best campsites we have stayed at.Nearby activities: 1 mile from the south west coast path and really close to gorgeous villages such as Hope Cove and Salcombe.Walkability: Plenty of walking options close by and about a mile from nearest bus stop

Clean and modern facilities set in a lovely location ideal for long walks and very close to Salcombe. Special thanks to Fiona who was so helpful and friendly, such a lovely lady. I wish we lived closer so I could come more often but we will be back!

Just fell in love with this gorgeous little site. Big pitch with a stunning view, very peaceful and set in a beautiful location. Many great walks directly from the site. Site itself is very well kept and great doggie walking meadow. Facilities are big bright and modern, very clean and had lovely touches like fresh flowers. Fiona is an amazing host, so warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome, checked in with us throughout our stay to ensure we were ok, also full of knowledge of local area with great information on walks, pubs etc. This really is a gem of a campsite and we will definitely be back

I came across this site by chance after leaving another nearby site due to an unpleasant experience. I met Fiona there and she welcomed me and my doggos with warmth and open arms. I'm so glad I found Bolberry House as I felt immediately relaxed and at ease. It's so peaceful with mostly flat pitches and a fantastic new shower block. The night sky is huge and on the clear nights I had, you could gaze at every star, satellite and planet. The sunset and sunrise were pretty amazing too!A walk along the coastal path to Salcombe is a good stretch of the legs but with jaw-dropping views and there is a lovely cafe/restaurant/bar just up the road if you fancy a romantic sunset meal. (I can imagine the wind blowing a hooey in the winter mind)This is my new go-to place for peace and relaxation. Fiona is the perfect host and proof that kind people still exist in this world. I will be back.

This was our 4th trip in the past 12 months. Elaine is as always super friendly and helpful, always ready to recommend places to eat or visit. The new (opened 2021) toilet/shower/kitchen block are of a high standard with showers free of charge. The site is reasonably level at one end, with a bit of a slope at the other. Access for the final 1 mile s via narrow roads - I tow a twin axle caravan and have always managed without any issues - if you're a competent tow driver you will be fine. This is a quiet site - we have never been woken at night. We highly recommend.

So far is the worst place I have ever been camping. The best part about the campsite is the other places where you are advised to go if you wanna see some views or have some food, so the site offers absolutely nothing. You have no view, the internet that you have to pay for it it's a waste of money and they don't tell you that is not working, the excuse is " it's a third party" well it's on your site do something about it. Facilities pay for everything and the worst part You're not allowed to have an open fire, safety issues I understand but again that should be discussed before paying to come to the site. Oh yes m, it is a clean site that's probably the only good thing I can say. I suggest to check the nearby sites if you want to fully enjoy a proper campsite.
