Didn't have one of the meals we ordered, pizzas were over done (very) and hardly had any cheese on. Beef brisket hardly had any meat in it and looked like something you'd find in a dirty nappy. It went bad here after covid and has yet to fully recover, not a great experience at all. OK, if you want a few cheap beers though.

Cheap and cheerful pub grub menu is pretty big and most meals include a drink, breakfast is nice too.

I chose the vegetarian breakfast option at £4.99 and unlimited hot drinks for I think £1.70.
The price is incredible,the food was fresh and the eggs done exactly as I requested.
The food was hot and served within 5 minutes of me sitting at my table.
The servers are all friendly and polite and the restaurant manager remembered my order from the day before.
They run a tight ship as the place is clean and tables cleared quickly with a relatively small team of staff.
Overall I had a great experience and would highly recommend the pub/restaurant to anyone.

I really hope the people who put 1* reviews actually do something about it, ie report the problems to the day manager at the time, that way any faults can be rectified. On my latest visit today 14/07/25 @1107hrs I ordered a standard orange juice as I wanted to get a veg curry, that is only available from 1130hrs onwards. At said time of 1130 I ordered my food and got a pint of Tim Martin's favourite beer Abbot Ale, waiting at my table unsurprisingly the pub was starting to get busy, my food seemed to get to me quite quickly and was served to me by Emily, I asked for a spoon which Emily brought to the table. Whilst enjoying the curry I did notice that Emily was constantly on the go serving food and clearing tables, I have no idea how long she has been employed by 'Spoons but she must be a valued employee of the company because she has a wonderful work ethic. The venue is worth 5*'s for Emily alone, well done.

The place was filthy The menus on tables were sticky & had remains of food on them. The seats god knows what germs were lurking in them whole place needs a deep clean. We didn?t stay for food I went home put clothes in machine I?ll not be going there any time soon ?

A good place to visit for a cheap breakfast and unlimited hot drinks... tbh you can't beat it anywhere else! My friend and I enjoyed a muffin and a hot drink and spent a pleasant hour here. Don't need to recommend it, as it was busy, so already popular.
