Afternoon visit and how refreshing to find a well managed venue with very pleasant and attentive staff. Tables cleared and cleaned regularly. Great selection of real ales and a great choice of value meals available which were well presented and tasty. Converted former bank which has a small outside garden area at rear Toilets as with most spoons upstairs. Decor looking tired and in need of a revamp my reason for a 4 rather than a 5 star review

Restored our faith in spoons food fresh and hot served quickly decent drinks also brought quickly exactly what a Wetherspoons is advertised as the rest of the plymouth city centre pubs should go there and see how to run a pub good for you mannamead we will return

Me & my friends regularly go on a Wednesday evening for the quiz ran by Debs. Great atmosphere, fun evening & the staff are always nice. Food is what you expect from a Spoons, can't fault it. Also a fan of Curry nights on a Thursday.

My friends and I come to spoons most Wednesdays, solely for Debs? quizzes. The food is always fine, spoons food yknow but the service is always good. The quiz is always a fun evening and we even had the pleasure of winning a few times. But we probably wouldn?t frequent as much as we do if not for the quiz, as it?s always such an entertaining evening. Big up Debs!

Disgusting behaviour from member of staff becki(y) on latest vist. Her language to a older gentleman was Disgusting. Didn't feel worthwhile making a complaint about what I heard as Becki(y) was in charge, complaint dismissed etc. Hopefully that gent has a nice Christmas regardless of staff Becki(y) opinion. Merry Christmas ?

Great location centrally place on Mutley Plain. Staff were very good particularly the deputy manager who was very helpful in letting me taste a couple of the beers before trying. Food came very quickly Tuesday is specials night and the steak was good value. Only let down is the toilets are looking a bit tired and could do with a revamp. Would definitely return

Come here fairly regularly for drinks and the Wednesday pub quiz. There's always a great selection of new guest ales available and a wide range of other drinks cheaper than anywhere else in Plymouth. The staff are lovely and the quiz is always good fun.

Use this Wetherspoons quite a lot, know it?s cheap and cheerful so expectations are never high. But getting quite fed up of the non service. Have been a fan of the Wetherspoons app since before covid?. But pointless using it here for drinks. The do prep them quite fast (can tell by the ticket they print) but then they sit there on the bar waiting for service. The last 2 visits I?ve ending up going to the bar to pick up my drink after waiting over 20 minutes. On this visit there was at least half a dozen other trays waiting for service. Come to the conclusion that is there way of meeting HO service time targets? Good HO reporting, but awful customer service

Honestly the disrespect. Always came to spoons as you know what you get. The customer service in this place is almost humorous. Within 5 minutes. drinks were getting put on our table. We sent the round back twice. After the third, they then came back and demanded we went to the bar immediately and marched us there. The way they treated us was awful and the staff were so rude.

The Mannamead continues to be our go to Wetherspoons since we moved near the area. The food is always cheap and cheerful and the staff are always really lovely!

Went in with my partner and daughter on a Friday daytime for a quick dinner. This is definitely not the most clean of places. The glasses they served our drinks in were cloudy and all had black flecks in. The tables were sticky and it just felt like a dirty place to be honest. The banana that they willing gave my daughter with her kids me was black. However, the bar staff were very apologetic and polite.

Just like all weatherspoon pubs, fast service. It was the morning so it is quiet. Breakfast is nice.
