For me, an appointment is when one person meets another at a specified time and place. When visiting Specsavers Plymouth, it may be worth asking whether the ?appointment? is indeed this.Nobody wishes to be sat in waiting areas thinking of all the things that could be achieved instead of waiting.One service representative from Specsavers was overheard to promise, ?We?ll do all we can to speed [a repair] up for you.?How can this be true when the glasses were placed with several others?

I previously gave the store 5 stars, as the staff is always very pleasant, and helpful. However they're never on time. Every appointment I had for myself or kids, there's always about 30 mins wait. This is slightly annoying.

The optician couldn't fit my lenses. He changed my prescription twice and I still can't see properly. He was definitely not a professional in his field.

I reviewed this over 2 years ago after a poor experience and have received an even worse experience today. I only reluctantly booked again with Specsavers after receiving an bombardment of reminder messages.I arrived 5-10 minutes early for my appointment as requested to find out they don't open until the exact time of my appointment. I had to wait outside in the cold,this was already a bad start.I checked in at the desk and took my seat in the waiting area upstairs. Less than 5 minutes and I was seen by a staff member for a pre pre assessment. Essentially confirming name and address etc and told to wait back in the waiting area for the pre assessment.Here I waited around 1 hour and 15minutes and soon realising people who had just arrived were already being seen.I was told on the phone the day before to allow around 90minutes for the appointment including choosing frames. Well at this point I had already been waiting around 80minutes.I spoke to a staff member who apologised and said she would find out what the hold up was but I had already made my mind up to go elsewhere.Plus even if I was to be seen straight away at that point it still would have been another 30minutes for the appointment and at least another 30 to choose and order some frames.I think taking nearly 3 hours for an opticians appointment is by far unacceptable .Shame on you Specsavers .

I had an eye test, OCT scan and chose some frames for spectacles (tailored varifocals and occupational lenses). I am new to this branch. I found all the staff I encountered at the Armada Way branch to be really good. Recently collected my specs and there was an issue with the varifocal lenses but this was managed very quickly indeed and I have to say that, including how that issue was handled, my overall experience of this branch is excellent! Thank you, I will definitely stay with you as my local opticians.
