Oh dear !! We had a full day of driving expecting to see the same image that had been portrayed on line . What a shock we had !! Looked absolutely filthy from the outside! We had paid in advance. I completely refused to sleep there for the night!! We left as soon as we could, drove for 45 mins and found a lovely place to stay ! All of our previous Premier inn stays were very pleasing, but this one was a shock to see. we were actually pleased we did give it a miss after reading some of the reviews.

A great place to stay and although the bridge to the Barbican is closed it is just as easy to walk around the harbour to get there. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff, who looked after us really well. Also close to City Centre. Would recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in Plymouth.

After reading lots of negative reviews I was not expecting much from this Premier Inn but I have to say everything was absolutely fine. staff lovely and helpful, room clean, comfy and we could set the heating to high or low to suit. The hotel is in a very good spot, perfectly placed to see anything. The breakfast was as always, plentiful and well cookedWalkability: So close to the Sea Aquarium we good see it from the room, ideally placed and a good sized car park

Rooms are starting to become tired here, musty smell from bathroom, curtains falling off due to worn and jammed up tracks, needs an upgrade now. They have replaced the taps and shower heads with restricted flow models, takes an age to shower or fill a kettle for a cup of tea now, disappointing. The harbour is just metres away so a great view and a good place to have a walk around, always pre - book as its often fully booked up surprisingly still.Rooms: Looking tired and smell a bit musty nowNoteworthy details: Harbour is metres away, great views or nice to go for a walk here.

Have stayed here before. Really good value for money & brilliant location for Plymouth City, aquarium, barbican Centre & Harbour. Shame they don't offer a loyalty card scheme though.

Not the best Premier Inn I?ve ever stayed in.Food & drinks: The Cookhouse Pub was linked to the Premier Inn and the food did not reflect the photos on the menu. The Big Stack burger (not entirely sure why it was called that) was the size of a child?s burger served with 3 burgers and limp lettuce.Cheeseburger topped chips (Go large for £2 extra) was served in a small cereal bowl. The Loaded Nachos were served with chipotle beef chilli which looked like a dark r brown sauce. We sent these 2 dishes back because they were clearly not what we?d paid for. The manager literally marched out with fresh dishes and spoke with a raised voice. She was clearly not happy and the worst thing was that she was continually coughing because she was ill. She should not be anywhere near customers or food and was asked earlier why she was at work. Her response was that she had put down to work that shift!!Breakfast was okay apart from the mushrooms that were extremely dry (possibly left under a heater)Suffice to say we shall not be returning.

It was ok. The spare bed had some dubious stains on it but I wasn?t usingIt. The car park is crowded and it cost £6.00

Great location but that's where the positives end!! Having stayed in a few premier inns that were great - this was definitely not!! Really run down and shabby, the mattress had no shape and was really uncomfortable and fit for the bin! And I don't know why they employ staff because they can't help with anything and tell you to follow a link on website for any issues you have.

We stayed here to visit family and needed to be central. Parking was easily available and payable at reception. We had a very warm welcome from reception, staff were polite, friendly and informative. £6 for 24 hours parking. The room was as expected and we slept well. £35 well spent.

Stayed a couple of nights. The room was good, clean & warm. The bed very comfortable. Lovely walk in shower. The carpark is small for the size of the hotel. Staff friendly in both hotel & restaurant. Restaurant/pub was across the carpark. Food was good. The location was good to walk to the Aquarium & Barbican.
