Have been a banking with Nationwide for many years now, and I have always had a positive experience using this branch. The staff are always helpful, polite, and friendly. Whether opening an account, helping with large payments, or contacting their fraud department the process is always smooth and efficient. Now after receiving £100 via their fairer share scheme for simply having a current account with them, I could not recommend them enough. This is not to mention that their mobile app is extremely easy to use compared to other banks.

This branch (Plymouth City Centre) doesn't follow fca regulations and instead is the only bank that makes accessing your money more difficult than it needs to be. The 'manager' (Nathan) decides its appropriate to state that we have no chance of getting the money out of his branch as we dared to question his authority and why they are the only bank that doesn't accept a driving licence/birth certificate and deed poll plus dwp letters are not enough ID??????? DO NOT USE THIS BANK IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO GET ACCESS TO YOUR OWN MONEY.

Update went in to change from passbook to card great service from all painless well explained. Thank you. Visited here yesterday to open an ISA and see if they could trace my account with them.
Well result bith Peter and kai excellent service explained no hard sell. New book now to use account so happy.

As ever, wonderful, I enjoy coming into branch everyone is so helpful. Ewa has been particularly helpful on the two occasions I came in recently, guiding me through using the automatic cash machine thing and then going and changing one of my ten pound notes into two five pound notes for me. I had a problem with my debit card and you were also so helpful and kind on the phone. I so appreciate this and am so glad I am a member of Nationwide, I feel you treat customers as if they are family.

This bank is awesome. I just received, for the second year in a row, 100 pounds for ?profits shared? by the bank with ALL its customers. I am so grateful that some seem less greedy than we expect them to be! It made me think about how easy it was to open an account with them when I did so, many years ago; how easy it was to communicate with staff and how they were always helpful. How some actually went that extra mile to help - as when I needed copies of bank statements from many years ago. How easy it was to request and be granted a reasonable overdraft or loan. How fair they were when money was spent by someone else when my card was stolen. How careful they are when they are not sure about a transaction. Honestly, I?d recommend this bank to anyone. And gladly say an immense thank you to them for their support to us all.

Went into the Plymouth branch today with an old Portman Building Society passbook from 2004 and needed to change my name and address. Nathan, the Branch Manager couldn?t have been more helpful even though it was just for a tenner. My late mum always used, and loved Nationwide and tbf when she passed away her local branch were super helpful when I was dealing with her accounts. High five guys - thank you.

First time using the branch in general . Started off by using the outer ATMs to deposit cash + cheque, the ATM is self was difficult to read near impossible to make the correct actions, also confusing to understand. I wasn't aware of the process for deposits, so incorrectly entered an amount thinking it would let me confirm it again or it would check the cheque or cash there and then, but instead it spits a envelope out at you and tells you to deposit it inside and drop it back via the ATM, again the ATM was difficult to read so I wasn't aware you had to put both cash + cheque together.Branch staff lovely and helpful, there was a little queue Infront of me, but one of the staff saw me in the back of the queue, came out and asked the other customers if she could help and then came straight to me and explained the next steps for the deposit. Really helpful and it's appreciated for your quick service.2 days later, the correct deposit amounts are showing in my bank, again thank you for assisting me with the issue.Great experience in branch, One thing I dislike about nationwide in general is you can't pay cheques in online or at the post office. (Would save the planet, with unnecessary journeys!)

Why is plymouth branch so unfriendly ?Called in to get cash with small dog on a lead but with No politeness just told dogs not allowed !!! Why not ????The way staff talk to customers is really poor and with no respect....they seem to forget that they are there for customers
