Applied for credit card, was accepted, went to branch to supply ID but unfortunately missed out my middle name in online application. A person at the branch told me no problem, to apply again and promised me it would not affect my credit rating. I did so, the second application was refused, making a severe impact on my credit rating. Train your staff better. Terrible service.

Not a great experience. Seeing the bank never ask my opinion I'll post mine. Every time I go in bank I'm almost forced to use machine instead dealing with a person at the cash desk. I've used machine before at Nat West and transaction was done in wrong order and bank said I was in red in current account. After a load of hazzle on phone when I got home I was sent a hamper and apology. Similar issues with doctor with links online. Till things improve I will still prefer dealing with a person. Also there are long queues on most occasions I go in as not enough people serving and customers, especially older are of same mind as me.

We recently had a problem sorting an issue with a club banking account. I would like to say the help we received from a young gentlemen called Ricky went up and beyond our expectations. He was extremely understanding, competent, and polite. Thank you. Should read 5 stars!

We have banked here for over 40 years only to be told no-one could help us to open an isa as it had to be booked in, in advance, although we could have phoned their helpline and do it over the phone. We took our money to Skipton just up the road, who were able to open up exactly what we wanted, straight away with no wait either
Also very long queues too. Not impressed!

This is the branch I visit most often, everyone is friendly, the branch itself is clean, the machines have all been working every time I've been there and the waiting area to speak to a branch advisor is comfortable and warm.
Whilst it hasn't been a huge issue yet for myself, I have noticed on occasion it does seems understaffed.

We visited here this afternoon, was very disappointed to be told almost as soon as we got inside the door, that if you were drawing out less than £800, you had to use the cashpoint machine, and not able to use the cashier behind the counter. I myself was a cashier in a supermarket, and I really hate having to use these machines instead of actually seeing a cashier.

The woman at the desk was very rude, first refusing to serve me because she was "closed", only to call me over literally 5 seconds later.She then refused to help me and my friend who is an international student to deposit his leftover cash into my account so that I can transfer it back to him after he goes home.She said that she can't help us because she doesn't advise that we do that even though we had all of the paperwork proving where his cash came from.She just can't be bothered to work, probably was almost time for her break.
