I've seen the reviews on here I've been a customer with the plymouth branch for six years and have only had issues with id not having one staff are really friendly to me and do not question my title as I had it legally changed being Transgender only issue I have had on the phone is when it's someone new and they get a little confused when it's a females voice coming down the phone but when I explain why they are very supportive and the in branch staff are friendly and helpful hope this review actually helps people

Very poor customer service. I have been a customer for many, many years and never been treated so poorly.
Received letter from the Halifax, stating that one of my savings accounts was due to change and that I should go to the Halifax to sort out. This I did as advised. On speaking to branch advisor was told I had to either do it on line or phone through to sort it out. Explaining that I had made the trip specifically and sorted out in branch previously as stated in the letter. The Plymouth branch manager joined in conversation. He was very rude and opinionated stating that it was Halifax policy and that I had to phone it through. On stating that I was not happy and would like to complain. The manager stated that I could complain, but my complaint would not be resolved and just ignored.

This place just employs idiots i swear. Got told on the phone to go into branch because of a technical issue that kept occuring every time i tried to open an account for my daughter. Go in, they tell me to call and do it over the phone. Complaint raised after getting passed from pillar to post. No care for long term customers. Incorrect information given by the idiots working there. Can accept a photo of ID if online, but not a photo of the ID in person. This policy is garbage. Wasnt told to bring my kids ID even though my name is the main one on the account. Went to the appt and told to rebook. Went to the rebooked appt but was running 10 mins late (job interview over ran), they didn't call me. Turn up and get told i cant be seen because im 10 mins late and they have seen someone else instead!! Just appalling customer LACK OF SERVICE.

Poor customer service, didn't listen to my request. Spent more time being nosy and trying to confirm my id then what I wanted.Just sought to sell me insurance and other products not required. I went into Skipton and was treated correctly.

Staff are helpful, but departments don't communicate with each other properly and transactions are not recorded properly. Spent ages on the phone yesterday trying to sort out an issue which has now occurred. There has been a mistake on their part and I feel an apology to myself is appropriate. Have now raised a complaint for the first time in all of my years (been a loyal customer to them for many years) of banking with them. Extremely disappointed.

25/02/22 Gentleman greeting was quite rude and defensive, I was simply explaining a mishap with being locked out of an account that led to payments being missed on my card and he was very dismissive Thankfully lovely helpful woman on cash desk/ till that helped me resolve.

DO NOT USE HALIFAX WHEN TRAVELING... their legal department customer service are unable to provide reliable service... they will nit let u use yoy money abroad coming up with 1000 silly reasons why

Went to the Plymouth Branch to transfer money into my bank account , they took all my bank details and the money is still in the branch after two weeks, phoned them up and the reply was it wasn't transferredThank you Halifax , I know where it wont be when I get back to the UK
