The room service available. We booked the suite for 275£ with two children. The suite is spacious with iron, hairdryer, dining table with two chairs, one double bed and one clic clac bed. The room was clean. Washroom was clean. I don?t like the mattresses they were very old and used. The hotel management should have a look on the mattresses. Otherwise location and stay was pleasant.

Firstly the lady at reception didnt manage to take her name - blonde hair glasses 09/08 time around 6pm was very rude. We booked through booking.com as we have never been to plymouth before. We were passing by and needed a place to stay. The error was Booking.com?s as they never sent the booking to future inn however the service we received at reception was disgusting. My husband was trying to check in however lady at reception said she cannot do anything as she has not received the booking, although we had the confirmation on our email showing on our phones. She said we have to wait until booking comes through she said we should not have booked through booking.com and booked through the website direct future inn. My husband was not happy at this stage and expressed dissatisfaction not in a rude way however the lady at reception was very rude giving attitude and making rude reactions. She told us she cannot do anything and to wait either in the restaraunt or lobby area. She made us wait another 15 mins when booking came through. I was not feeling great as i am 7 months pregnant and wanted to rest after a long day. Finally checked in and the bed was a double bed the springs in the mattress were super bouncy when one lay on one side the bed on the other side lifted up resulting in me sliding down the bed squashing my husband. It was a very uncomfortable night. If you are staying here request a bigger bed. My husband is 6ft 6. Even the premier inn is better. Room was standard needed major upgraded. Iron was from centuries not even a steam iron, it was a non steam iron with only an iron plate - a press type iron. Pillows were terrible no life to them. Woke up with a sore back and sides. We had booked a room through booking.com in a small house in torquay and even that was 10 times better with the biggest bed and nice amenities. Overall experience - terrible. Will never come back again.

No air con and the window didn't open so was really hot. Cleanliness was not good hairs still all over the bathroom. One of the beds has a metal thing sticking out half way down the bed which I hurt my foot on and got a big bruise. Disappointed there was no fridge but had a comfy nights sleep

Big rooms though a tad noisy due to a M&S being built at the north side, the noise starts at 4.30am!!!!!

I found that the overall cleanliness and tidiness of Future Inn Plymouth were excellent. There were coffee and tea provided in the room, as well as a hairdryer and a kettle for boiling water. The bathroom was well-stocked with plenty of towels and even bathrobes; shampoo and shower gel were also provided. However, there were no slippers provided in the room. Since I was looking after my child, I didn?t call Room Service to request slippers.
The hotel staff were all very polite, including both the receptionists and the housekeeping staff.
The lighting in the room was bright and sufficient, which I really appreciated?it wasn?t too dim. That said, a few lights were not working, such as the one at the desk and near the entrance. The room itself was spacious, with a counter area for placing luggage, which was great as it meant we didn?t have to bend down to access our bags. The corridor lighting was also bright and welcoming, which made returning to the room at night a pleasant experience.
The hot water temperature was very good. I was also very satisfied with the air conditioning system?it allowed us to freely adjust the temperature. When we first entered the room, we could set it to a stronger, cooler setting, and at night we could raise the temperature and lower the fan speed for a more comfortable sleep. This is particularly important for a family room, especially when caring for young children. I?ve had previous experiences at other hotels where I couldn?t control the room temperature, and my child ended up with a fever due to the room being too cold at night.
One suggestion I have for improvement is for the hotel to consider offering small festive experiences for guests?for example, celebrating birthdays or wedding anniversaries. These little touches can create wonderful memories and form a deeper emotional connection with the hotel. In fact, I once stayed at a hotel in Taiwan that gave us a small surprise for our anniversary?it was just a simple gesture or a small treat, such as greeting card but it meant a lot to us. That experience made my husband and me return to the same hotel several times afterward. Of course, I understand this kind of service depends on decisions made by the hotel?s management.
Another nice touch I noticed was the complimentary water and small cakes available at the reception area.
Overall, my experience was very positive. As for the hotel restaurant, I saw that the reviews were quite low, so I chose not to book breakfast. I hope the hotel can work on improving this aspect. That said, there are plenty of other dining options nearby.

Worse receptionist and racist!
Tuesday 24th 2025 - 10:30am
The receptionist on duty at this time is super racist. She stopped me from checking out and made me stand there waiting for her to check whatever it is on her computer. Meanwhile other white racial people can just pop their key in the box and leave. I was holding my 1 year old baby for 15 minutes. She questioned me that this room has been checked out earlier. I said so your side made a mistake? Then she continues to question me about an earlier check out which I have no idea about. As I was the only person with my husband and my child who was using the room, and I was holding both keys and gave them to her. We had prepaid so there was no outstanding payments. She just wanted to create trouble for me.

We had a twin double bed room. 2 things worth noting that really irritated us. The first thing was the AC. It didn't work. The room was extremely hot and even with borrowed fans from reception, the room was still extremely hot. Please fix the AC in your rooms. The second thing is the door layout in the bathroom and toilet. It's the oddest design ever. The staff were great and very helpful and the free apples and chilled water are a nice touch.

This location was great for having to come and see my mother in law at the hospital in derriford. Excellent location for shops and town and hoe. Hotel breakfast was buffet style and loads to variety.
The rooms are clean and comfy beds. Have been down x2 now and are coming back again in July. Staff are very knowledge and accommodating and can't do enough for u to make your stay enjoyable.
The restaurant food for the evening meal was lovely just very big portion sizes so good value for money.

Stayed here for two nights while visiting my sister. The first thing I noticed about the hotel was the rooms. There was a small TV like most hotels, and the usual mugs and little packets of sugars and sweeteners. There were little imperfections to the room upon arrival such as poorly made beds, paint peeling off walls, all the normal cheap hotel things. You had to go to the lobby just to get some water which was a bit annoying, but I think that it is an American chain so that would explain it.
The breakfast package was overpriced so I ended up eating breakfast at my sister's rather than the hotel so I don't have much to say about the food.
The location was good. The hotel is surrounded by shops so it was very easy to pop out and get some food from M&S.
Overall not a bad hotel if you're looking for somewhere not to pricey.
