Such friendly staff, we received a warm welcome. The rooms were large and had everything one needed. The interior was not modern, but that did not bother us at all. Sufficient parking in a beautiful and quiet area. The hotel had many signs of wear, but was very clean and this also applies to the rooms. The location is close to the nature reserve and 15 minutes from Plymouth. We will definitely be back?? Keep up the good workRooms: large and very clean!!

A Lovely hotel! The service was outstanding! staff were friendly and happy to help. The receptionist was really welcoming and couldn?t do enough for us!The location of this hotel is perfect, on the edge of Dartmoor but just a stone throws away from the city, So quiet and peaceful. Lovely grounds to walk around with stunning views. Our room was spacious, clean and warm. Huge sized rooms that contain everything you'd need during your stay which included a detailed welcome pack. We had a huge bed which was very comfortable! Only thing I would say was our shower was abit small. For such a big bathroom the shower could be updated. We ate in the Churchill?s restaurant, it had a good selection on the menu and fair prices! We had the two courses for £33 the food was amazing! Good quality and full of flavour! Good size portions. We went for the braised short rib, it literally fell off the bone! And then Nutella cheesecake for dessert! The waitress couldn?t do enough for us! Really attentiveBreakfast was good, A help yourself buffet basis, all served hot and fresh, a good selection of hot and cold food! One thing I didn?t like was there was no where to put the lids from the hot plates. You?ve got a plate in one hand and the lid in the other. Felt like if I put it on the other hot plates it would have fallen off.We had the use of all the facilities during our stay, a good size swimming pool, hot tub , steam room ,sauna and a gym ,all were well maintained and clean.Would happily stay again.

Went to a 90th birthday dinner here. There were about 50 people for lunch. The food was excellent, very quick and very tasty. The staff couldn't have been more cheerful and helpful. I was very impressed.

Google maps stop about 100yrd from Elfordleigh Hotel entrance coming from Plympton. The car park is a little small, but parking for disabled is right outside the main entrance with ramp access to the reception area. Lift to all floors and a lift to the spa area as well. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food for 3 courses is around £52 and meals are very well cooked, with good flavour and portion size. The drinks menu has a wide selection as well. There is a bar / Brasserie, which is also very well managed. Our room was very large and laid out very neatly. Idea for families as there is a swimming, sauna, massages, gym, and golf course, which is also used by the general public. Good walks and not far from Plympton Town centre.

Visited the spa, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the treatment I had was absolutely amazing. We were told that children are allowed in the pool when booking, however it is a spa and it did put a damper on my experience as they were very loud and found I couldn?t relax. Maybe restrictions on timings for younger people or if the pool was monitored to stop children jumping in.

- Beautiful location overlooking the golf course and nature. 10/10- Rooms beautifully decorated but had a strong musky/damp smell which was unpleasant.- Loud music could be heard from downstairs until 8pm. Kindly notify guests of any functions prior to booking or have them stay in the quieter parts of the hotel.- loud thumping/rumbling sounds heard from 8pm until 11pm (Moving/re-arranging furniture). This could have been completed during the day.- 7:15am loud blaring sound of staff mowing lawn outside on the grounds- this could be commenced a little later.-Breakfast was 7/10 and could have been improved with the addition of fresh fruits and cheeses.- Spa facilities were lovely 9/10.-Staff were polite and helpful 10/10.Overall 7/10.

A lovely historic hotel. The treatments were spot on. A truly indulgent experience. The food was fantastic.I can't fault it.Staff all very helpful throughout our stayRooms: A really lovely well equipped room.I would have liked a softer bedI don't like twin beds pushed together. It is not the same as a king size double. My partner struggled to sleep on a too hard mattress.

We stayed for our anniversary and the hotel definitely was worth the drive. The staff were very pleasant and did everything that was pre-arranged with flowers and room decoration prior to arrival. The suite was beautiful and the addition of on site spa was very nice. We enjoyed a wonderful massage and thoroughly enjoyed the pool and steam room facilities. All in all would definitely stay again.Rooms: Room was of very nice taste. It was very large and exceedingly clean. We did book a suite and it definitely met up to expectations with a wonderful view and beautiful jacuzzi bathtub. The bed was large and comfortable. Only two notes are we had to ask for hairdryer and the odd piece of furniture was a little worn. But on the whole would love the room again.
