Decent enough hotel, was very close to where I was working. The whole hotel is very tired, needs a LOT of money spending on it to update it. Furniture and decor have seen better days.

It was difficult to find the car park. There were no signs on the main roads. Only on back roads right before it and it was not where you would expect. I had to drive three loops just to get to the right place. I ordered room service at 10:30 pm as it said it was 24 hours. But was informed that they couldn?t begin with getting the food ready until 11pm when the night staff came on. At 11pm there was a call to confirm the order and I was told that it would be half an hour. At 11:45 I called to check on the food. I was told that it wasn?t ready yet and would be 15 more minutes. As I was with another person they offered one meal for free. At 5 past midnight I called again and said not to bother as I just wanted to go to bed after having a long day. They then said the food was on the way up to the room. Then offered both meals for free which was nice. I did not get the food until 20minutes past midnight. Obviously it was not on its way up when I was told. I then had to eat and finish getting ready for bed. Do I did not end up getting to sleep until 1 am. I had been up since 7:45 the previous day and got very little sleep. It was not a good experience. Also people were being very loud in the hallways at 1 am so that did not help with getting to sleep. The only benefit is that the hotel was very close to the centre of Plymouth and made walking in the city very easy.

It is a pretty good hotel, the location is close to the center and the train station. The room was quite clean (the wallpaper on the walls and the ceiling fan still need to be cleaned of dust), the bed and pillows comfortable, linen and towels of good quality. It would still be useful to have sockets near the bed. The breakfast was quite good, I would have liked some fresh vegetables, the staff was very kind. It's not really a 4-star hotel, the furniture is quite dated, but the value for money is very good. Very easy online check-in and check-out. Overall, it was a good experience. We will choose this hotel again the next time we come to Plymouth.

Don't just pocket profit from the business. Reinvestment is also crucial for success sometimes. Every facility in this establishment is exhausted and dated . The hotel manager sincerely replying to each review would not resolve this issue. And please don't give me traditional values and all those bla bla ?. Because I have seen many hotels around the world maintaining tradition and modernisation hand in hand. Best of luck.

Possibly the worst hotel I?ve ever stayed at, when we got to the hotel there was only 6 parking spaces at the front that were all taken so I had to dump the car and go inside to ask where to park, as soon as the staff saw me they ran off to the back so I had to stand at the desk for almost 5 minutes before they came back and acted like nothing had happened, when I asked about parking the guy at the desk just gave me a postcode which led us to a random car park, when we went back to the hotel we asked if we had parked in the right place where we were told that the hotel parking was actually underground but we don?t need to worry and our car would be fine. We unpacked in the room where we found bogeys on the bathmat and bathroom wall which was absolutely disgusting and shows the level of care they put into the cleaning. At this point we didn?t want to make a fuss and just went back to the car less than 30 minutes later to find a parking ticket for £50. Went back to the hotel and they said they?d get in touch with the local council to get it sorted but he didn?t seem apologetic at all just put it to one side. We stayed for two nights and had to ask the front desk 3 times before they actually emailed the council to try to get it sorted. We?ve now been home for a few weeks and have rang up a few times to see what?s happened. Every time we?ve been met with rude staff being very short with us. The most recent time we?ve rang the staff member was so snotty and said ?we don?t deal with that sort of thing? and hung up leaving us to pay the £50 ourself. If we?d just been told no they wouldn?t sort it on the spot it only would?ve been £25 but instead we?ve been messed around, I work in hospitality myself and wasn?t rude at all to any of the staff so I don?t understand why they felt the need to be so rude to us, really gave us a bad impression of the area and would absolutely not recommend this hotel to anyone, better service sleeping on the streets.Food & drinks: Food was mediocre but the waiter was lovelyNoteworthy details: Carpark is underground NOT the poorly signposted pay and display that the map leads you to

Nice enough for a one-night stopover. This room was tired and needed a bit of TLC. Chair ripped, painted surfaces scraped and cupboard doors at angles but it was otherwise clean and comfortable. If you're just looking for a simple overnight base this should suffice. I've seen better hostels TBF.

Hotel located near city center, with about 6 parking spaces at front of building. Friendly & helpful service when I checked in from the receptionist. My room was located on the 4th floor. Room is dated, most likely from the 90s.Rooms: Rooms not been updated from the 1990s . Maybe hotel is waiting for nineties decor to become trendy again ..Nearby activities: Hotel is situated next to a supermarket...which is always helpful if the food is not to your liking.Safety: Seems pretty safe ...well apart from the 3 rowdy teenagers obviously drinking their first pint ...they also order chips & onions rings to share among themselves....bless.Walkability: Yes you have to walk to the rooms.Food & drinks: Not much healthy selection. I was a dare devil and tried monkfish gousons for starters & tomorrow & olive linguine....my dare devil days are now behind me.Noteworthy details: All in all its not a bad hotel. Its near the city centre. WiFi signal is good. It has a fitness suite. Food is OK as is the rooms. Parking is a concern.

The location is excellent for visiting the university, and provides easy access to much of the city centre. Helpful staff and clean facilities.

Good location with underground parking which is free for guests. Comfortable bed, some if the furniture needs replacing,ie desk chair, worn in several areas. Good breakfast selection.
