“Although I didn’t buy anything I felt I could browse without looking suspicious and the guy at the front looked knowledgeable and friendly. He asked if I needed help but I said no, just browsing. I didn’t find anything but I thought the shop was decent.”

“Now the honest truth about my Sea Chest experience was that it was excellent. Alice answered my phone query and arranged everything so I could pick up an updated Navionics card for my plotter. I did and she was a delight to deal with. I would recommend this shop to anyone any time! Its at Queen Annes Battery at Plymouth. Free car parking and a very accommodating bar and restaurant on site too.”

“This charity shop is small but has an amazing selection of treasures inside. You can find anything from the classic old clothes to make up your retro wardrobe or brand new items of clothing that are just a lot cheaper than you would find in any normal shop. This shop also stocks new jewellery and woolly hats etc that I presume are made by patrons of the charity or local people but are of a very high standard and would make a perfect little gift for someone!! This is well worth a look if you ever pass this point of town.”

“A huge thank you to Oxfam at Mutley Plain for reducing the costs of some clothes for a family that lost everything in a house fire in Tavistock recently... I have managed to get four full carrier bags of clothes and toys from Oxfam and also from the other charity shops in Mutley Plain. Thank you :)”

“The 5 ⭐ review is for nothing other than exceptional customer service. The prices in this store are through the roof but, when I was stuck in hospital with a phone and no working charger the very kind man serving on this particular day (21/1)25) went above and beyond to help me get exactly the correct type of charger needed.

This on the face of it may seem pretty simple however ~ 80% of the chargers I have at home ( which are USB C as required) do not serve my Pixel 6a 's highly particular charging needs.

The gentleman who served me not only recognized my situation/predicament and was willing to let me try the charger before making my purchase.

After a long and painful 24 hours in hospital this little extra mile went a long way. A*”
