Our group of friends were regulars when it was a Spoons. Sadly the loud, random music forced us to find another venue. We tried it again tonight and it was worse so we shall not return. It is not a friendly local with welcoming staff so it does not encourage you to feel any loyalty.

Visited on a very rainy afternoon in July. This is a former Wetherspoons pub (now a bit tatty round the edges). It was playing loud modern "music" when we visited, a completely off putting experience. Beer was OK. We didn't go back!

Located in an ex Wetherspoon pub retaining the decor. Sat by the window and had a drink while chatting to a nice local couple which was probably the most enjoyable part of our visit to Paignton.
The Isaac Merritt is an independent pub recently taken over. We serve a variety of home cooked meals, sourcing from and supporting local suppliers. The Isaac Merritt has a wide selection of drinks options, with our 10 brand new ale and cider pumps offering a selection of locally produced products. We also have a selection of entertainment including a juke box, pool table & darts board
