Stayed here twice now . Upgraded to room 5 this time as room was bigger and much nicer than the room we stayed in before but cost 10 more which after seeing I was happy to pay. It's 3 mins walk to weather spoons . And from there you can walk around the town or 3 mins to beach . Also staff are nice . Like I said 2nd time staying and will definitely be backPrice is competitive to all over BnBs in area but once you been somewhere you don't wanna change to find other places is bad when this one is good . Breakfast comes in with price but is only small to fill a hole In ya belly but it's not the greatest. But food is food and is in with price .Rooms: Stayed in room 4 and room 5 .. 5 is nice but both rooms are clean . Beds are comfy only bad part is water pressure for shower or to make a drink of water . We bought two 5l water from Asda as water taste funny in Paignton lol ?.Nearby activities: Pier 5 mins walk arcades for kids 3 mins walk and right op pub lol ?Walkability: Pub 3 mins walk . Beach 3 mins walk town start of 3 mins walk then about 20 mins to visit so on shops around town . Great amount of takeaways with in 3 to 10 mins walk from hotel .

Honest ReviewArrived to the big blue hotel which helped up find it, pulled into a tiny car park which is shared by other b&bs, there is at this time of year free parking on the street. The owner kindly let us park the car early and we went for a walk.Came back and was let in, it a very old looking hotel, carpets and decor. We were once again asked to give our details, third time now, once booking, second time email from hotel and now a paper sign in!Given the key to our room and we went up the long stairs case, walked in and instantly knew this was not the room I had booked, the bathroom was not as shown in the one I booked. Ok no big deal let's take a look around 'four in a bed style'.Positives.... Bed was lovely and comfortable very good night sleep Staff were very helpful when we required a second towel and more tea bagsThe staff/owners were very niceThere was tea and coffee and a bottle of waterThere were modern touches such as usb in the wall which was very goodNot so positives....No hairdryer (not that I needed it)No hot water in the shower even though we flicked a switch Radiator in bathroom coldYou could hear next doors TV till very lateHad a wait for 25 minutes (8.25) before they opened the breakfast room only after we knocked the locked door. We were told we should have knocked! No the door should have been open at 8am Breakfast is only between 8-9.The breakfast oh dear, sausage tasted very cheap, bacon thick and undercooked although we asked for well done, toast more like warm bread, tomatoes were tiny.There were marks on the bedside lamp, marks on the wall in the bathroom, bathroom blind broken.Overall, we believe if you're going to do basic cheap accommodation which at £50 a night is, you have to get the basics right and unfortunately there are things which should be addressed.

Very central location. Rooms were clean and tidy .Room was a double was very spacious .Shower and toilet worked fine..Rooms: Room was fantastic... Bed was super comfortableWalkability: A two minute walk to the the sea front and the same to the high street

Absolutely pleased with our stay. So friendly. Highly recommend.Nearby activities: Plenty to do. Beach only a few minutes away.

Very clean & tidy, friendly owners nothing was too much trouble. Good location to shops and beach, recommend this hotel for your get away. Lots for you to do around and about, would recommend the steam train and sea cruise in Dartmoor and finish your day with a Cornish pasty

The bed was very soft and the breakfast was poor in the extreme. The staff were friendly but it was not a good night's stay and I would not stay there again.Rooms: The room was beautifully clean and all I needed, but the bed was not comfortable.Food & drinks: Breakfast was sub-standard

My stay at the Berry exceeded my expectations; being a wonderful place to stay overnight for me. The welcome was warm and friendly. Room 15 was on the top floor and was well-appointed with all you would require for a night away from home. This single room benefited from a queen-sized bed which was so comfortable and topped with a superb fluffy duvet and fabulous pillows all aiding a great night's sleep. The television and Wi-Fi were more than adequate. The part en suite shower room (the basin was in the main room) was newly refurbished and had a marvellous powerful shower yet one of the only disappointments was the terrible sandpaper-like old towels. Breakfast was nice, cooked marvellously and just enough to set you up for the day ahead. All in all, it is a brilliant place to stay close to the beach, the town centre and the public transport hub.

Quiet room with comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Very nice breakfast just what we wanted, well cooked and lovely staff who worked really well even though short staffed!!!Will definitely stay again when in Paignton again. Very nice.

Nice big single room with a big comfy bed. Lovely clean white bedding and good tea and coffee in room. Nice side sea view and a great breakfast. Nice pleasant staff. Check in was good. Only downside was car park luckily I could get around on public transport which is good and cheap, as the amount of cars on the car park meant getting off was an issue. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely friendly clean Hotel. Close to sea front and 5 minute walk into town. Parking and breakfast included. Lovely breakfast and family run place. Sad that our little break was up today but wouldn"t hesitate to re book here. Thank you so much xx

Family run hotel, very friendly and welcoming.Very clean and comfortable bed.Excellent location and free parking.Handy for cinema and high street and local pubs, many doing food. Good Breakfast. Would stay again if in area.
