The opening times are completely useless. Closed on a Saturday Sunday and Monday and closed during the week before most people leave work . I have had to wait 4 weeks to deposit money which I don?t like doing outside at the machine and can?t deposit coins so I can do it at a time that they are open and that fits in with my own work schedule . I feel that they are deliberately trying to find an excuse to close this store

Paignton branch today. Swapped my account from hsbc recently after 40 years. Anthony in the Paignton branch had exceptional customer service skills. Explained everything I needed to know in detail. Highly recommended.

Absolutely ridiculous being open 3 days a week for 6 hours will be changing banks asap every time I need to pop in your always closed! How is anyone who works a normal job meant to pop in when you shut before 5 and closed over weekend absolutely ridiculous

I was waiting outside Natiowide to the side of the bank to make sure I was in the queue ready to be served at 9 to then get back to work as early as possible. The lady who opened the door looked puzzled and cross, and she asked me to move even more to the side, which I politely said yes of course to, and I just let her know I knew I was early but happy to wait until 9 to remain 1st in the queue. This was around 8.45am.She continued to look angry and didn?t acknowledge me.She then asked two more times when she was with her colleagues why I was standing to the side of the door and was I waiting to use the Nationwide services, and again she confirmed that Nationwide opened at 9. I had to repeat myself all over again.All I was doing was trying to wait and queue patiently until 9 but she must have found it all extra frustrating that day.I felt really unwelcome, and that was before stepping into the bank.Response to to Nationwide:Thank you for getting back to me Nationwide. Can you give me an emailplease so I can send details over?It happened in your Paignton branch, well outside, at 8:45am on Tuesday the 20th of February 2024. Your colleagues would have seen who dealt with me.

Tried to set up a bank account as I have an LPA spent nearly 40 minutes in branch to be told they needed something with his name and the care home on to which I didn't think I had anything so phoned the home to ask them to send a letter when I got back I found letters with his name and the care home so went back for a further 20 mins to be told not good enough.

All ways found very helpful and frendly .Only dispoint is changed the days there open sadly.so have catch 2 bus sometimes .but because this i thinking changeing which shame as always found they staff frendly and helpful.

This branch of nationwide is never open when u need them... This has been the worse branch I have ever been to with the worse opening times... if this is the way your running nationwide in paignton surely you're better off closing it. The one that is very helpful in nationwide in Torquay a much better branch with proper opening hours and good staff. I mean what's the point of opening this building society just 3 days a week its a complete joke.

Customer service is shocking here, the worst I've seen from a building society or bank. I thought TSB were bad, but this place is on another level.To ask a 93 year old lady to go away and use internet banking is beyond belief.Update: 10/02/2023 Again I was fobbed off by the front of house employee and the cashier, was told to use the machine for cashing in my cheque. I refused and asked to be served by a person, there was only one other customer in front of me and none behind. The staff were not happy!A the end of the day I don't want to use a machine, I wish to talk to a person and be made to feel welcome as a member!

There was nobody at the counters and the 2 cashiers just kept me waiting..When l asked if either of them were serving the left one told methat she was busy.!!! and the other nothing.The service in here has always been poor..no smiles just long faces.I'm closing my account if that's there attitude. Rude.

Who is that sour faced no eye contact woman behind the counter! obviously had a day off when customer relations was being taught! ? can?t take cash deposit put it through machine? ?. The young guy in there needs to teach the old bird a few things!
