I have to attend this surgery regularly and reception can be extremely busy but the staff are always remarkably calm under pressure. They are very helpful and have infinite patience. The medical staff that I have encountered are very professional and caring. I have seen rude and impatient people at the counter and to me they look like those who do not vote to support the NHS but expect immediate attention for themselves. This is an excellent practice and I would like to thank them for all their hard work and dedication.

worst doctors I've ever known...getting an apptment is nearly impossible. They try not to see you personally by using an on line service.Twice they did not reply and then they wanted me to take pictures of my problem.I'm changing my doctors !!!

Wrote a review 6 months ago and you know what they are still terrible, why is noone fixing this place??? I've seen so many people get treated like trash, being with them for over 2 years I've only spoke to one nice and polite worker, the rest have treated me like I'm lower than them and not important enough to actually get treated, disgusting, so ashamed to even be in the same town, these people come to you for help not for more stress... so to the people working there, atleast try to actually think about all the people that are suffering instead off thobbing everyone off.

Wow... The receptionists are incredibly rude! I called to request some information and was immediately cut off mid sentence, patronised, belittled and told that they're very busy (we all know this, but it does not give you the right to be rude. I'm a clinician in the NHS, which is also quite busy but would never talk to patients this way). This wasn't the first time.I understand that they probably have to deal with a lot of upset and verbal abuse but to be honest, I'm not surprised if they begin conversations this way. They are setting themselves up for negative conversations! Their approach is antagonistic from the very beginning so I'm really not surprised they get disgruntled patients! Please train your staff in how to have effective, polite (!) conversations with service users. Let them in on a secret...1. Not everyone is out to get you2. Your behaviour is inviting negativity3. Your day will be more pleasant if you begin by being pleasant yourselfTry it....

Today after the usual 20 minutes waiting for the phone to be answered so I could try and book an appointment, I was rapidly fobbed off. And in reply to anyone who says the delay in answering is due to the staff being extra busy with the Covid 19 situation, I would say its always taken an eternity to get through on the telephone. And when you eventually get through to a person there is a high probably that you will be quickly fobbed off as I was by an individual unqualified to judge the urgency of any medical issue. If fact the women i talked with this morning (12-1-21) gave the impression of being barely qualified to operate a telephone.

Shocking service, recently merged with parkhill & now can never get passed the receptionist to get an appointment even when it's a small child with a very high temperature. Receptionist are also rude & when it comes to giving young children injections their procedure is horrendous, I am looking for a new doctor surgery.

It's really difficult to actually get a appointment to see a doctot, especially when you have to work, you are expected to be able to sit in and wait for a telephone call, sometimes into the evening, then the next day im expected at work and doctors, much preferred the old system where I could make a appointment for my day off. When you do get a appointment the service is acceptable, but confused by lack of patients in waiting rooms.

Awful practise. Boyfriends symptoms completely disregarded by the GPs after him continuously wanting answers, they didnâ??t take anything seriously, for him to then eventually go to Hospital and find out he has a serious illness. Also a highly unpleasant receptionist, middle aged woman with mid/short hair. Completely disgusting attitude towards us, pulling faces and giving us a horrible tone when we were nothing but polite. Awful.

Have been with the surgery for 15 years in the last 12 months have needed to deal with the surgery 3 times, each time I have had to complain about the terrible service received. We feel the practice is too big and under staffed, it is all about profit and not patient care any more, such a shame as was a lovely practice years ago.

Awful, horrendous ,after having a really bad hypo, choking ,turning blue and at one point stopped breathing taken to A&E found to have a lung infection sent home same evening and being told make an appt with Dr the next day. That nite had another big hypo, phoned Drs. To be told there was no appt for a fortnight,I explained that this was what the hospital wanted, the receptionist said well he shouldn't have been sent home take him back to A&E this went on for 3 days no one saw him I kept phoning at one point I was told we work from 8 to 5.30. Yes I said and my husband who is 72 is looked after and cared for my me 24/7. This just went on and on for what seemed forever. Where is the caring, compassion, the support and the reassurance, from your Dr these days. Next time I'll phone for an ambulance and take up a bed in A&E that could be used for someone who needs it, is this what happens when a practice gets to big???????????? I would not give this 1 star. But had to.

I Mourne the loss of the services of Dr howitt now that he has retired from Pembroke house. He kept me healthy for the last thirty years I was his patient. I have now seen other gp's and they have been excellent. The reception staff have been friendly, efficient and professional.
