Second time I?ve come, first time was lovely.. today tasted completely different. Firstly we waited 45 minutes for food, no reason given and it was a pretty quiet Wednesday lunch (compared to the packed Sunday lunch which was far better when rammed).
Had the halloumi fritters which last time tasted insane.. this time were awful, along with the tacos which my dog ate because I couldn?t. No one asked if our food was ok. Had to ask for cutlery. Very underwhelmed and disappointing

A fantastic spot for food or drinks by the sea! It?s always a positive bustling atmosphere in here. They serve freshly prepared delicious food which is always beautifully presented, cakes, drinks alcoholic and coffees and soft drinks. Sometimes they have live music too. You can sit in, or out in the sunshine or under cover. It?s dog friendly and child friendly. They don?t do as many vegan options as they used to (I wish they?d bring back the aubergine fish fingers from years ago!!!) but there are still some options and they do vegan cheese so can swap some stuff out. 20p from all pizzas goes to the Wave project, and they?re super fresh yummy pizzas!!
Edit: Reduction of a star as actually service is inconsistent - some staff fantastic but when we went back again one of them was very rude. Friends told me the staff have been rude to them when they?ve been here too, though it was the first time I?d experienced it myself.
Vegetarian options: Loads of veggie options from breakfasts to pizzas to halloumi and carrot balls to plant burger to cauliflower bowls!
Dietary restrictions: Veggie, Vegan and gluten free options clearly marked on the menu. They do also do vegan cheese so you adjust some meals such as some of the pizzas.
Parking: If you are lucky on a quiet day you may find parking on the surrounding streets but this can be very tricky and up very steep hills. You are better off parking in Youngs Park Car Park which is a short level walk along the green or sea front to Cantina.
Kid-friendliness: Child friendly. There are some colouring supplies and high chairs (kept over by the toilets). There is a baby changing station in the accessible toilet.
Wheelchair accessibility: Some of the place is on the level. You can order via QR code or the bar to order from is on the level right by the main entrance.

Our Sunday morning breakfast experience was quite chaotic. We stayed at the nearby Premier Inn and decided to give it a try.
Unfortunately, they didn't take reservations, leading to a frenzy with people hovering over tables, waiting for others to finish.
The food took a while to arrive, and when it finally did, the bacon and sausages were overcooked.

For the last 10 years I?ve been to Cantina several times across school breaks and Christmas holiday periods.
The service is very slow, but the food is good when it arrives. The prices are same as London which is expected given the type of business.
If they improve the customer service during these peak periods it could be an excellent food destination next to the beach.

Attended a Murder mystery. Our faces dropped when allocated a table in front of the kitchen service bay around the corner from the main area. Ruined a Christmas night out. The great actors didn't stand a chance of us hearing properly. We could see it wouldn't work immediately so the management needs to choose the lesser of are they inept or just put money before any thought of customers. Don't risk an organised evening event if you're a small group.

Been few times, always enjoyed. Disappointed today, took my mum out & she'd asked for a bacon roll. As it had just gone past the breakfast time, the server said we couldn't have one but could have a bacon, lettuce and tomato roll instead as this was on the lunch menu. If I had of asked for the lunchtime roll but minus the l & t would he have obliged? What's the difference as such? would have paid what was requested, just seems bit silly business turning away a customer request after such a small time difference, too strict, business should be more flexible when it's customer based. Could just have said, sorry breakfast menu finished, but we do a blt on lunch menu, could do that for you & leave off the lettuce & tomato & charge you for the lunchtime price. Suggest use some common sense
