We ate there twice in one week the first time they made a mistake on our bill with items added that we had not ordered we informed them and this was corrected. However we returned a second time and thinking the mistake on our bill last time was just a one off and would not occur again we decided to eat ,when the bill came we scrutined the bill and it was almost £80 over what it should of been ,One mistake OK BUT TWICE IN THE SAME WEEK! How many other diners have been overcharged on their bill and actually paid it without realising as it seems to be common practice at the post house.Having said that the food is excellent but just a shame about the service .

Old lovely pub with character and very friendly staff. Very reasonably priced good food. Good selection of real ales. Great view from the garden.

Popped in on our way to our holiday home, we were just about to go to the garage and saw the sign for the Post Inn that made us chuckle ? so we chose a decent lunch over a garage sandwich! Glad we did!
Received a warm welcome from the bar staff and seated quickly. Lots to choose on the menu, we went for ham, egg and chips and a jacket spud. All delicious!
Beautiful little village location and amazing views from the beer garden. We were lucky to have a visit from their resident bulldog, who kept us company whilst we ate.
Would definitely recommend! Thank you ?

Walked up from Travelodge at 10 pm. for a few beers but door was locked even though people sitting at the bar drinking. Finally attracted attention as people were leaving and barman said no worries we?re closing early as there aren?t many people here. Waste of time going there as you don?t know if they?ll be open.

Me and my partner love it here. We visit aost monthly for a meal and drinks. And stay in the car park in our camper. Friendly lively little pub. Good food. Good staff and atmosphere. Beer garden is amazing too for hot hot days.

Awful service. Waited over an hour for our food. (Pub was not even busy when we ordered). When the waiter came out with 4 dishes he had two of the wrong dishes and instead of giving us the right ones he took them all back. We had ordered 2 carbonaras so when it finally arrived they both looked completely different. Infact I'm convinced they just took some off of the first one and spread lots of green leaves over it to disguise this. The first portion had no green leaves at all and the second portion was so small. Lasagne amd garlic bread were so over cooked. The bread was hard. These certainly just cater for the locals. One man had a dog at the bar not on a lead. The dog kept coming to our table so we had to go and ask them to keep the dog away as we had a 3 year old boy who was petrified of dogs. The dog continued to come over. A young couple had ordered their meals just after us and had also waited along time. Another couple came in and clearly we're local, the bar man came over and asked if they had ordered food (which was well after the young couple) and when they said no he went straight to the kitchen to check for them. The young couple stood up and walked out the pub and I must say I wish we had done the same. This could be a lovely venue for holiday makers - which we were but sadly the staff let this venue down. When we finally paid for our meals the barman asked if everything was OK, to which my partner just said 'I think you know what the issues were' and the barman said yes....not even offered a discount or anything. The young girl who took our order in the first place looked half asleep and considering they had just opened to serving food she was scruffy and had no personality what so ever. She had so many previous orders in her book she struggled to even find a clean page to take our orders. As you can imagine we will never return to this venue when on holiday here again. Some may read this and think just another moaning women but I can assure you everything I have mentioned is factual.

I called in at the Post Inn restuarant with my Hubby on a really rainy night. The service was really slow, waitress was friendly, and apologised for the long wait.
Some of the local regulars were really rowdy and swore, even though the bar man warned them there had been some complaints made about them. It didn't leave us with a good experience.
The food was overpriced for it's quality.

This has become a ?must call in? on our way home from travels, just before we hit Cornish border.
This pub is a true gem - proper country and traditional pub. Offering a good menu and food is always looking superb with a good local customer base.
Good selection of beers and ciders and lagers too (pleased to find Stella and Sam Miguel, where so many other pubs have switched to Estrella and Moretti).
Always had welcoming service and experienced welcoming customers when we?ve dropped in, even though we?re not locals.
Sorry - no photos today, too knackered driving home after over 24 hours of travelling!
