“Popped in yesterday. Absolutely fantastic food, the sausage and onion baguette was very tasty, with good quality sausages. Ale was lovely and everything was reasonably priced. Lovely traditional pub with a sporting feel which unfortunately seems to be harder to find nowadays. A real gem in the middle of real countryside. I'll deffinately be coming back”

“On the edge of Dartmoor National Park this hotel is well located for walking trips and days out. Just beside the A30 outside Okehampton it is easy to get to and drive all over Dartmoor. The exterior looks weathered and tired but inside the hotel is well maintained and the staff are incredible. The rooms are big and recently refurbished. Bedding is white and fresh and carpets are spotless. For the price there is no better accommodation in the area and with Dartmoor across the road it is a place. Our room at the back of the hotel overlooked open farmland and then from the Reception doorway you look straight onto the Moor.”
