Just had a LG TV delivered. Knowledgeable advice and expertise given when I purchased the TV. Good delivery and installation service. Time was taken to set up, install and explain.This local business provides very competitive pricing with great overall service. A friendly no pressure environment to explore TV options.I can thoroughly recommend Vigars of Newton Abbot. I am very pleased with my new TV.

As a previous poster said, this shop makes it almost impossible to want to support local businesses.I went in and it was as much as the gentleman in the shop could do to bother to serve me.I explained from the start that I worked for a company and we had run a promotion to give away a free TV and I needed to buy the TV to hand out as a prize, all I needed was a pro forma invoice (because god forbid we should want to pay for it in advance!!) . He proceeded to start clicking his mouse and advise me that he would need to order a TV in and it would be 4 weeks (in a shop where I am surrounded by boxed TVs!) I explained that on this occasion, I may have to source from elsewhere, as the competition had ended but we run a 5-6 of these a year and it would be good to support a local business (I mean c'mon, repeat business for no effort on his part, surely every small businesses dream???) he once again reiterated it would be a 4 week lead time and then out of nowhere, "is this a business we are selling to? We dont sell to businesses, its our policy"This "policy" is mentioned nowhere on their website. Frankly, I find it completely shocking that a shop that only opens 10am-1pm, that was completely empty when I went in, is considerably more expensive than most online retailers anyway, can afford to turn away repeat custom so readily!I will be looking for another local retailer to buy my 5+ TVs a year from!And any business out there, be it pub, shop or any such that wish to have a VAT receipt, Vigars policy is not to sell to a business, so probably best not to waste your time going in there!

I?m not really one for writing reviews. But when you experience exceptional customer service, I felt the need to on this occasion. From the moment I walked into the showroom I experienced wonderful advice and customer service no hard sell just clear advice . After deciding on the appropriate TV I was given a great discounted price match . The after sales and installation by a member of the team has been exceptionally good. The TV was set up on its new stand and then he went through the installation procedure which most people find quite daunting. He then took the time to fully explain the controls and some of the apps etc, which left me able to enjoy the TV immediately.Great service, highly recommended many thanks .

On Monday 18/07/2022 I purchased a new Samsung TV and also paid for installation. I also purchased a newn handset for my Humax box. On the arranged day for delivery etc. all items arrived and the Tv was set up and all necessary questions answered. I could not fault this service at all. Excellent. Would recommend Vigars very highly.

I wanted to know if Vigars could repair ear pads on Panasonic ear phones. They couldn't, but, very kindly, they looked on the internet and found that I could purchase them on line myself. Very impressed that they went out of their way to help me. You don't often find service like that anymore.

I'd have to echo the other reviews, very poor customer service and awful hard selling of extra and unnecessary warranty services to vulnerable customers.

We spent Thousands of pounds here for a complete TV/Recorder/YouView system. Even took out their insurance. NEVER again!!!We asked him to test our YouView Unit, reply: "we dont test anything, but can send an engineer to your house". How much "£99" For just a 5 minute test that he was unwilling to do in the shop. Creepy salesman. Wont be going back.
