Went above and beyond to fix my leather boots. The leather of one of the boots had torn and come away from the sole, so as well as re-healing the boots, they also kindly glued the boot back together - thank you ??

Refused to cut a car key onto a blade I had bought myself. Apparently it's their policy not to cut onto customer supplied blades as they 'sell them themselves'.
I enquired how much one of the Timpson supplied key cases would be. £50!! Bear in mind that the same key cases can be bought retail for £5, that's a hell of a mark up and something of a rip off.
They could have still had some business in cutting the key for me, instead they have lost a customer for good. I will be supporting our local independent in the future.

So so rude and unwelcoming, i went in to purchase a dog tag for my dog, i tried to make polite conversation with the miserable woman who was working in there, she messed up the engraving, and still expected me to buy the dog tag, i said it was not acceptable, so she huffed and did me another one under duress, i will never go to this shop again and will take my trade elsewhere, if she dosent like the job, then she shoul stay at home. ?

Sadly my experience was very poor. The woman behind the desk was on the phone and seemed annoyed to be interrupted by my walking in, then dismissive of repairs and unwilling to offer any advice whatsoever. It was patronising to answer my questions with more questions, such as "well where did you buy them?" I just wanted to know if the shoes were genuine or poor quality as the soles had separated so dramatically so quickly.She wanted nothing to do with them as a piece of the sole was missing and had to be asked if the sole couldn't just be replaced. Of course it could. Even if she didn't want to state an opinion she could have suggested so politely rather than with condescending interrogation.Not going back...

Always a handy location here in the centre of Newton Abbot, the shop is rarely busy and always repair, cut keys with a smile, only one Customer allowed in the store at one time for social distancing, I had a watch repair (£3) and two keys cut (8.50)
