Promises much from the exterior, but doesn't live up to expectations within, a tired, unloved interior, with everyone from staff to customers happy to accept 2nd best, more effort needed.

Only ate a full day breakfast there. Was amazing!! There was quite a long wait (40mins) understandable as it was a Saturday morning. No tea or coffee, but the lady behind the bar gave us soft drinks and didn't charge us for them.Food & drinks: Great full breakfast... and more importantly... it was hot!! Not warm! Was lovely.

Only popped in for a drink, though the menu and food seen was tempting but wrong time for us. Staff were welcoming. The inside is spacious but a little. As the sun was shining (for once) we sat outside and people watched. Very pleasant.

Nice little pub but extremely run down the roof leaks badly with water running down the walls, the floor has lifted in places and the toilets are horrible. This place could do with a massive overhaul and bring it back to where it should be so people can enjoy it. The staff are friendly and service is quick.

Lovely atmosphere, great pub, wonderful meals and would 100% recommend visiting the bar for a couple.Food & drinks: Very busy bar, food fantastic.

Visited this lovely pub on a Sunday afternoon and was thoroughly impressed on the experience. The Union Inn is situated in a lovely secluded village. From an extremely warm welcome from Jamie who was an absolute delight throughout our experience of this lovely pub, making sure we were content the whole time. The food and drinks were fair priced, as you can see from the photos the food was as delicious as it looked. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice friendly bit of pub grub.

I went to 5he union Inn in Newton Abbot on 21st December 2022 when I sat at a table . Because there was a party (kin of) 2 woman wanted to sit at table tbegibd me and was asked to move . You would not ask a customer to move . I would not ,they can sit where they like. Some folks speak how they want! I will not be going again!
