Found this cafe by accident, so glad we did. The breakfast was amazing. The staff were friendly and attentive and everything was exceptionally clean. We've added to the 'must visit again' list. Thank you.

Food is okay, but it's quite expensive for what you get, unfortunately

A really nice local cafe with good food and polite staff. Plus, gluten free menu. Which is very welcome.

A great place to stop for food and drink
The Bubble and squeak is fantastic, and so was the rest of the breakfast
Well worth it.
The staff are very welcoming and helpful.
Thank you

Rather disappointed today. Quiet Friday with only a few customers. New menu with price increases (to be expected) but found that everything you wanted was now extra. Garnish with your meal? Extra £1.50, chutney with your cheese sandwich? Extra £1. Ordered two toasted tea cakes which took 40 minutes to arrive! Plonked on the table with no apology. Will think twice about coming again

First visit to this popular cafe in Newton Abbot situated close to the clocktower at the western end of town.
Managed to get seated on arrival, order at the till, then your meals are brought to your table ( don't forget to pick up your cutlery and sauces )
The food was very good although my beans had been standing a while, however all tast,ed delicious and you get free coffee with a large breakfast before 11am.
The service was welcoming and friendly and the toilets although dated were clean & tidy.
It is a dog friendly cafe so be aware of pets being around.
Would definitely eat there again.
Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible

Popped in before work to grab a sandwich and a pot of tea. Staff were lovely, asked if they could do me a bacon and mushroom sandwich, no problem. Sandwich arrived, bacon was greasy and had seeped through brown bread, and the mushrooms were whole button mushrooms plonked inside the sandwich, so absolutely impossible to eat as a complete sandwich without falling out .... really, really disappointed as looked like a lovely place. ?

Service is nice but that?s about it, the prices are unbelievable for what you get. Quality of food is very low yet extremely expensive. £10.99 is charged for soup and a sandwich, that?s a very high price when the sandwhich is just 2 very low grade slices of white bread with very poor quality sausages. You could get it for cheaper and better in Pret, Cafe Nero, Costa, I could go on.

Called in today for lunch after seeing a board outside advertising Ploughman?s lunch inc. a hot drink for £9.99 choice of cheddar cheese. Ham or Brie.
We have been before so know that all the staff are lovely and friendly. When I ordered at the counter the lady said ?you have had them before? to which I replied no we haven?t. She replied you won?t be disappointed.
Well when it arrived complete with a warm baguette it looked amazing everything you want including cress?.
If you are anywhere near this cafe you definitely should pay it a visit, you won?t be disappointed.
P.S. we did pay extra ( not a lot ) for having ham & cheese) well worth it.
Thank you and we will be back
