I recently made a booking to play here. When we arrived on the day we were told that the course was closed due to bad weather the previous day. The guy behind the desk never said sorry and basically didn?t care. I asked why I had not been contacted and he said that all members had been told via email. I of course wasn?t a member and again he just shrugged it off. I wasn?t offered rescheduling, a discount on the range or anything. Worst customer service I?ve ever had at a golf course. Puts me off playing there or recommending it.

Attended a social event here unrelated to golf - at cream tea time. Generous quantity of cream and jam. Friendly staff. Comfortable bar / lounge area. Don't forget, cream first in Devon.b

Wow what a little gem, 2nd time of playing this course and with the addition of 4 new holes it gets better each time, staff very friendly and pros shop so helpfull can't wait to return thank you to everybody concerned big thank you to the admin staff on arrival desk

Good course, but can be closed regularly in the winter as drainage not the best and greens get flooded. Club house Good and food great.

Be prepared to rush around the course or you will be spoken to by unfriendly members .Also a single overseas visiting golfer was added to our 3 ball and to be told we can send him on his way up the 1st fairway hardly sends out the message that Stover is a welcoming club.We will not be returning to Stover Golf Club

We had a wonderful day at Stover Golf Club. From the moment we arrived we received a professional and flexible approach from the Club Pro who managed to fit us in for an earlier tee time. The staff in the club house were also great and although we were too early for breakfast they arranged for us to have bacon butties ready at the halfway point. The course was in great condition and the greens fast and true. The course itself seems to have a number of shortish par 4s but none the less they were a good test of golf. A number of new holes are being built and these look like enhancing the course further. We?ve played a few courses in Devon and this is right up there with the best!
