I ordered a new part for the log burner on line and after very helpful advice over the phone. The part arrived very quickly and was very easy to fit and now we have a Hobbit stove that works much more efficiently and is ready for winter

What a great company ! The salamander is the best stove out there, had mine for 3 years and it?s been brilliant - broke the glass recently - my own fault - found a replacement on the website, delighted to see it didn?t cost a huge sum, ordered at the weekend received by Tuesday and v easy to fit, no annoying screw heads to deal with, took about 2 mins to replace and looks even better now - thanks guys and long may you last - as I?ll need another stove quite soon!!

Really satisfied with our eco hobbit, it's a brilliant design. It manages to heat the whole ground floor of our house from teatime onwards when we switch off the heatpump (our Cozy Octopus cheap rate ends at 4pm).Only improvement I've made is to extend the air control levers (with some aluminium tubing plus end-covers), so they're more accessible to an elderly bloke who doesn't kneel down (or get up) so easily nowadays. But otherwise, thanks so much for a great little stove!

Hi - in the last 2 weeks I have ordered new rope for glass and new glass (as I cracked the glass) for my Salamander Hobbit. Both occasions the staff were friendly and easy to deal with. Both packages arrived quickly in very good packaging - good job! Regards Adrian Meadows.

We wanted a small wood burning stove to replace our open fire and retain the existing fire place. Our local fire place centre fitted the Hobbit just before Christmas and we are delighted with the results. Reduced fuel consumption, improved heating in fact the whole fabric of the house is warmer. Excellent little stove and looks lovely.

Wow what a perfect little stove it really is! Fulfilled all my expectations. Although I haven't bought it directly from Salamander company, can't fault customer service such as prompt answers via email conversations with Grace and Alex.I have made the right decision to choose the hobbit after reviewing and comparing with many others. The best thing about it is that it came with heatshields (optional choice) which allowed us to place it in our tiny conservatory quite close to the double glazed window to save as much space as possible.Perfect with burning either wood or coal and keeps warm all downstairs. Air controls are brilliant so you can set it to your desire burning flame .It will be a really lovely Christmas and looking forward to cold winters.Can't thank Salamander family enough for all advise and help and wish them all the best for the future.Will definitely recommend this little but mighty hobbit for sure.Many thanks and pleasure to deal with youKatarína

Wow what a fantastic little hobbit stove it is!. Got it installed in our conservatory with its stand and heatshields all around to keep it as close to the double glazed window as possible as per instructions. Burning wood and coal keeps it lovely and warm.
Air controls are working great to regulate flame as desired. It's such a practical little thing.
Although I didn't buy hobbit through Salamander company, can't fault any communication via emails and messanger. Always had received prompt replies from Grace and Alex. Can't thank them enough.
Will definitely recommend their business and wish them all the best for the future.

We love our new small Hobbit Stove, well made, attractive but with the same heat output of our larger Squirrel. Easy to install in our boatman's cabin on traditional narrow boat. A recent cold snap of minus 5 deg.C was first opportunity to test out. Using lots of kindling and high quality solid fuel was easy to start, air wash fully open and bottom open for 5 minutes, then shut bottom and opened air intake 4 turns, left for 30 minutes, added more coal, left 5 minutes then set air wash to half open and air intake 2 turns. This fire stayed in overnight and kept our engine room free of condensation and lovely and warm. Our 1930's vintage engine needs looking after in the cold weather and is so much easier to start and runs very mellow if kept above 10 deg.C. Would recommend to any boat owner and well worth the price, don't buy cheap imported copies as you will regret it!Congratulations to the Salamander team for designing and manufacturing such a great product.
