staff are nice. The food is a bit oily. If absorb some oil before serving, it would be nice.
Good to have different variety of fish.

Portion sizes are always good, especially if you get the fish of the day.
Parking: Queen street parking free after 6pm. Could change given current works though.

Still the best, freshest, tastiest fish & chips available anywhere. Been enjoying Jackson?s for around two decades now and, while we enjoy others elsewhere too (we live in Wiltshire so not close enough to enjoy it as often as we?d like) we still unanimously agree that nothing else comes close. Great takeaway but sooo much better & fresher in the dining room. Another perfect fish & chips tonight (& home made tartar sauce, best mushy peas, incredible curry sauce & amazing vinegar) Already looking forward to our next opportunity, especially to dine in.

I've been here a few times with my parents, & the fish & chips have been great. It's good to have the option of a smaller portion, which was spot on!

Was passing through and found this gem on google maps. Tucked in behind a fishmonger of the same name; I thought to myself - that bodes well! My cod and chips was cooked fresh to order and the staff are friendly and have an efficient system going on.The fish - was without a doubt the nicest bit of cod I?ve ever had in my life. It was perfectly cooked, big flaky chunks of white fish in a light and crispy (not too oily) batter. My only regret was not buying a large portion. 100% will be going back for more. Must be the best place to get food in Newton Abbot, and the price was spot on as well.
