Awful customer service. I spend over £200 a month in here on food and I've just bought 2 x kinder eggs advertised at £2.25, but charged me £7 at the till. When paying I thought my bill seemed high so I checked my receipt to see 2 x £7. I spoke to the manager who was at the tills and showed him where I had picked them up from and it clearly said kinder egg 100g which I had picked up for £2.25, exactly what the box showed. He disappeared for a while to check it, then came back and said it was a different product so he would refund me, I explained it isn't a different product the label was identical and it was misadvertised. He was not very happy and repeated he would take them back and refund me. I explained that he should be giving me the price difference as it was their mistake. He did very begrudgingly. I've just checked Citizens Advice which says 'If you realise you?ve paid more for an item than it was advertised for at the time, ask for the shop to refund the difference between what you paid and what was advertised.' He acted like he was doing me a huge favour, well it isn't a huge favour, it is called customer service. An apology for the inconvenience and time waiting would have been appreciated too. It isn't the first or second time this has happened and before the price differences were smaller and I hadn't realised until I was home. Please make sure your prices are accurate. Customers shouldn't be charged more than advertised. I will now do all of my food shops at M&S in Torquay or on Ocado, his attitude was appalling for a manager.It is such a shame as the other members of staff on the tills there are great. He should be setting an example to them. It is often the way though that managers lack the necessary skills and it is those on lower wages doing the best job.
