Good location and we'd visited years before where it had been outstanding service and maybe it still is unless you have kids. We were completely ignored service at the bar twice until asking to be served next and told the toilets were in the wrong direction. Got the feeling they just wanted rid of us. Won't be back

Came for Sunday lunch so can?t review the rooms but the food was first class and very good value for money, the service efficient and friendly and the location is one of my favourite places. Will definitely be back, thank you!

Just the one night but great place to stay, wonderful old interesting building in perfect location for wandering along the small harbour & down to the beach.
Staff were so helpful & kind letting us swap to a room with a sea view which was just perfect.
Food was amazing & a very dog friendly place which was fab. Thank you

Excellent location for us finishing our 9 day hike on the Two Moorsway. Room clean and comfortable with great view of harbour. Customer lounge also a really nice area. Food we had in the evening and breakfast was really good and the staff were very attentive. Restaurant just needs a little deeper clean in the corners and places like the chair legs but wouldn't put me off coming again.

Lovely little pub that I have walked past for years but never had the chance to go in! Decently selection of beers on tap, and a nice view outside over looking the sea.

Excellent, cosy hotel, lovely staff and community - the showers needs shampoo and soaps and personally I don't feel the hoover should be left under the stairs - in full view - in the cottage. But lovely lovely stay!

Group of eight of us inc dog for Sunday evening. Good vegetarian option and really nice staff. Decent local pints. Back later in the week for a few pints on the front, overlooking beautiful Lynmouth harbour.

Great location for a drink on the outside tables overlooking the river and sea after a long hike down to Tynemouth. So busy in season that you have to be quick to bag a table and clear up the table from previous users as the staff cannot cope with the demand. Otherwise, a five

We were supposed to go for Fish & Chips but they were closed on a Monday night. We instead visited ?The Rising Sun? and was pleasantly surprised. We had the gourmet burger and a few beers. The burger was delicious and the waitress friendly and nice. Absolutely loved our visit. Definitely go there again.

Lovely old Inn. Stayed with friends on a multi day hike. The landlord was very helpful and accommodating as we were running late and the village was very busy with a Regatta. Great food friendly service, excellent location. Would definitely recommend. It?s a very old building so mind your head!

The hotel is in a fantastic location I paid for sea view and it was lovely the staff at the hotel were very helpful and super friendly they made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble . The breakfast was very tasty there was enough to choose from I had the full English breakfast it was top quality. The hotel is 600 years old and full of character the room was very clean and comfortable I would recommend a visit the staff are a credit to this hotel .

Popped in for a drink with my wife and 5 year old. Very friendly and respectful to the little one. Some locals in.. decent pint. Good selection. There was a band in but we didn't see it as we had a dinner reservation at Restaurant Kensington (which was awesome) but I hear food here is good too.
