Me and my partner had the pleasure of camping at Caffyns farm. With the most beautiful views to the most scenic walks, it's a must try.We were met by the lovely family who run the farm and we were told about the farm and all the walks we could do on our few days there. The farm has brilliant facilities and a fantastic little shop and gorgeous cafe/bar. If there you must try their Cider! There are also lots of farm animals to visit, including their cheeky goats, beautiful horse and amusing donkeys. You can't forget the farm dog Bosun, who you may find at your tent doors waiting for a sausage or two.We can't wait to return in 2024 with the kidsNearby activities: Horse riding on farm.Walkability: The most scenic walks.Food & drinks: Great food and even better cider.

My daughter and I had a fantastic 3 hour ride through woods, on coastal paths, lanes and fields. Our guide was amazing, it was just like 3 friends going out for a hack. Horses were superb. We are coming back next September when we are on holiday. Thank you so much and see you next year.Safety: Safety where the horses were concerned was of a high standardFood & drinks: A fabulous cafe on site with wonderful food at reasonable prices, good portions too. People were lovely tooNoteworthy details: Plenty of parking

This is a brilliant camping spot. We have been saved by the shop supplies open until 7pm; as they have provided every additional equipment and a mattress pump for 11pounds. You can buy the farm made cider and the farm has many animals that are friendly as pets. The goats are friendly, and you can ride a horse for 1 hr for 30pounds, with 10percent discount if you are staying. A whole day of horse ridding for around 120pounds. The farm is large and the lady at the shop is very helpful and nice. The bar provides food for breakfast etc. The facilitiesWith hot showers and clean toilets is brilliant. Everything is brilliant and nice area and attractions close by. Good value for money 12pounds per adult per stay, and children ours up to age 5yrs are free to stay. Variety of trails and peace. To reach the beach I recommend to drive in a car. The steam train is close by. Worth visiting. We popped to the farm and decided to stay for 2nights with no pre advanced booking. And we loved it and fell in love with The area as a start off point for driving in the national park.Safety: Very safeWalkability: Lots of walking on a trail avaliable to the abbey bay, around 2hrs walk with 2 small children under age 5.Food & drinks: Hot food avaliableNoteworthy details: Camping supplier avaliable. Shop is brilliant and provides food like break and milk too

We only popped by for a meal after a day out walking but what a treat. The food was lovely, the staff friendly and after our meal we had the chance to feed the goats which was such fun.Plus my husband got to sample the cider made on the farm and got a bottle to takeaway.

I thought facilities were great for camping.I took my horse for the weekend, but I have to say, I wasnt impressed with the riding, nor how the ponies and horses on site were treated. To me, they looked malnulrished. Two horse were fighting quite badly in a paddock, which one horse ended up with shoulder and lower flank injuries, the owner explained to customers that it was normal! There was a sign on the gate stating 'I know these horses have cuts, theyre having ongoing treatment' this is not right. All riding horses, amount of 15 ponies/horses were kept in a small muddy pen. One horse was on treatment for thrush in his hoof. It wasnt a nice experience to see these horses in this condition.Secondly, my dog came back with 10 ticks on her and I regularly camp and monthly tick and flea her, never have I experienced that. Which makes me wonder if the animals on site are treated.

Caffyn's Farm is an incredible venue for campers. You can rock up without having to pre-book a spot, their camping fields are huge so you're never short on space, they allow children and pets and the chance to build a fire near your tent. They also have a café, off-licence, showers, toilets and a fully-stocked shop on-site that even sells camping equipment! The staff and family who run the farm are very friendly and hospitable. I would definitely recommend a visit and their cider which is made on the farm! Exmoor's finest, without a shadow of doubt.
