The Exmoor Escape - a complete waste of time. Under new management and not impressed. Drove a long way to eat there based on the legendary burgers they advertise, but burgers are off the menu. No contact details, website, or email, and no warning of the change of menu. A cold room and and an uncaring owner, will not bother trying again.

We had a excellent cream tea and gluten-free traditional beef pasty. Best I've had. Of both!Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free cornish pasty

Came a couple of years ago & was blown away with how good the food was & how friendly waiter was. Now it?s called The Exmoor Escape & the quality has gone down hill rapidly. Gone are the triple cooked chips, sausage roll was burnt, panini terrible & home coleslaw awful. £50+ for very poor experience?

Fabulous eaterie situated just outside the funicular railway cliff Station. Lovely staff, great service and brilliant food. Pasties were just superb, traditional, lamb &:mint, and a cheese & onion, plus a sausage roll and Scone with jam and cream. Decent prices in Lovely surroundings.

Just been to the cracker barrel. Located just next to the exit of the lynton/lynmouth tram. They do a nice selection of pasties. We both had a traditional pasty. With short crust pastry. We also had a cream tea. Well on holiday why not. The scone was light and fluffy and crumbles nice. Ample amount of clotted cream which you don't often get. The staff were friendly and nice and clean. Would recommend. Shame they had no steak and stilton pasties let but not complaining as really enjoyed our not so light lunch. Would come again. They do a special deal of a pasty and cream tea on the menu at the time of this review. They were also quite happy to serve is the pasty first and then cream tea after so were able to relax and enjoy

No pasty available, so I had to go for the Fire Cracker burger. OMG! Burger heaven. Awesome!!!

Would give no stars if I could. Currently inside the restaurant with starving children waiting for takeaway food. Staff prioritise customers that are eating in and rather than it being first come first served. Was never explained that there would be a VERY long wait. Don't bother coming here for a takeaway, pigs will fly and aliens will invade before you get your food.

Bought a traditional pasty to takeaway for lunch, cost £4.95, was all vegetable with almost non-existent tiny pieces of meat. If I hadn't already driven away from the area I would have returned to ask for a refund.

Ordered decaf tea but appear to have received caffeinated and now can?t sleep? very annoying for a breastfeeding mother who isn?t able to catch-up sleep and has already booked (paid) for kayaking early tomorrow?

Prompt service, fairly priced, goodquality and nicely presented menu. Has comfortable ambience and interesting decor. My partner had the chicken burger, it was served in a floured stone baked roll with hand cut chips and herby salad. I had the seafood basket also with chips and salad. I will definitely return.

Go for the pasty meal deal, the wife and I shared with an extra cup of tea and chose the lamb and mint pasty. Absolutely banging.

We popped in for a cream tea and coffee. Everyone loved their scones and drink. Lovely cortado, real chocolate hot chocolate with "all the calories", and good pots of tea, both decaf and normal tea. The scones were homemade and a good size, the jam could have been homemade too. Lovely little place. Thank you

Stopped in for a bite while visiting Lynton and what a cute quaint place. Place was lovely. Friendly staff. Great food (and I'm a chef!)

Well what can I say, the scone was beautiful, lots of Jam and Cream, one of the best scones I've had in a long while. Staff very friendly. I would recommend a visit if your in Lynmouth
