Came into the bar for drinks and stayed for food. Whitley Neal 0% gin was delicious. Had the camembert with dipping toast, wouldve preferred bread as it soaks up the cheese better but good size portion and yummy. Garlic bread and prawns were tasty too. Being able to order from table via qr was convenient but the compulsory service charge of 10% wasn't and I think now by law can only be offered at customer discretion. Toilets clean and the hand soap smelt amazing. Log burner was a beast and kept us all cosey.

The restuarant is really nice and quite a surprise. We weren?t expecting the quality and choice of courses on the menu in this sleepy town in September. I had the venison and the WiFi had the steak. They were both divine and filling with stupendous sauces. Wine choice was good too and reasonably priced all round. Didn?t take pictures as it didn?t seem right to interupt our meal and excellent friendly service by getting the phone out. Worth a visit to Lynmouth for nany reasons and if you do book a table here.Food & drinks: Great locally sourced seasonal food

We came here for a family meal and were instantly welcomed by the friendly staff members who were very accommodating, especially as a large group with two small children. Food was of exceptional quality, everyone liked their dishes and the mussels were a hit. I, myself had the pork belly which was absolutely delicious, followed by a sticky toffee pudding with the request of custard. Great service, great night. Would recommend if you're looking for some exceptional fine dining!

Wonderful hotel with great service! Stayed in the quarterdeck suite with my family and we loved every minute of it. Such friendly and welcoming staff. We will be back! The food was definitely the best in the area

We were not staying at the hotel & actually wanted to eat at The Ancient Mariner, which is part of the Bath Hotel. Sadly, they do not take bookings. We opted therefore, because we could book a table, to eat at the Bath Hotel?s restaurant. Easy to make an online reservation. A varied menu, catering for all tastes. We shared the pate starter. The only thing I would say is - make your own. Don?t buy in industrial slabs of pate! The seafood tagliatelle & the venison were both lovely - lots of flavour, well-presented and hot. We would recommend eating here.

An excellent hotel, well worth staying, the rooms are pleasant with modern bathrooms with ample hot water, breakfast was also excellent and the staff very efficient. Great night in the bar of the pub which is part of the hotel on Thursdays for sea shanties! We ate in one night and the food was spot on.

Lovely stay for anniversary. Reception was unmanned when we got there but keys left for us to take and plenty of staff in resturant next door. Room was clean and spacious. We opted for a superior suite and it didn't disappoint. View where breath taking and the area is lovely. The evening meal was perfect smoke duck filled by steak perfectly cooked and a Bailey's cheesecake for me. The Mrs had scallops seared just right and not overdone followed by venison that melted in the mouth and then a chocolate and orange tart. The pub next door was also really nice we ended up there after a brief tour of the other pubs. Staff on the night where helpful and not to over attentive. The only slight criticism I had was the bed was extremely soft but this was a personal preference. All in all I would not hesitate to stay again.Rooms: We stayed in a superior suite. Nicely laid out and spacious. Nice help yourself to bits for the room section outside is fresh milk and tea coffee top up. Nespresso machine and the view wow.Food & drinks: The 3 course meal was divine. Small menu but perfectly executed. Nice wine list. Sadly cocktails where off when we visited but they plan to start again when staff numbers improve. Great pub next door stocked with great selection of gin and few good single malts.

Waited 40 minutes for starter to arrive. Second course arrived quickly but the venison was tough and chewy although my wife?s chicken was ?okay?. Both of us had overcooked veg, were disappointed in the whole evening and didn?t stay for a dessert. Could have spent my £48 better elsewhere.
