Lovely little room with everything you need, a good selection of tea & coffee, biscuits thrown in for good measure plus a few spaces for parking. Fabulous view of the sea. The breakfast option is a short walk across the road via a footbridge but well worth the effort as it is of good quality & the service is excellent.

Stunning location in charming Lynmouth. Beautiful local walks, an impressive cliff railway, and lovely independent shops and restaurants. Room was immaculately clean, bed was really comfortable. Highly recommended!

Out of season, lovely location but wait until the end of October before you start using bare minimal staff,

The location of the hotel was perfect, with our room right on the harbour, with the waves lapping the sea wall directly below us.The room itself was really nice with a comfy bed, clean bathroom, and new carpets. The only drawback was that it was very warm, seemingly caused by what felt like underfloor heating in the bathroom. The restaurant was nice, but the evening menu was quite limited. The breakfast menu however was varied, well cooked and delicious.Overall I would stay again.PS - A mention to Beth who served us at breakfast time and checked us out - really friendly and professional.

Couple of nights stay in one of our favourite places. Chosen as it has a downstairs room which is disabled accessible. Excellent accommodation, good food (small evening menu) really friendly staff. Lovely setting with views over the harbour and pleasant garden. Hotel and Lynmouth well worth a visit.

We visited to have a drink and a lunchtime meal for 4 people. The four cooked meals were of a very high standard. Extremely tasty and enjoyed within their gardens.

Was really looking forward to trying this place after a 14 mile hike, arrived at 6pm and despite not a single person occupying the inside and 3/4 of the outside tables being free with no reserved signs, there was a sign at the door saying no food orders unless you book in advance. Well there are plenty of other places happy to take our money.

Rock House Hotel Lynmouth is an absolutely amazing place set in a wonderful location. The staff work very hard and go out there way, always professional but friendly. Our room was lovely and big, with a kettle and tea and coffee and biscuits. There's a hairdryer in a drawer and a pull out tray to keep your jewellery. A big wardrobe with a mirror on the inside. A walk in shower and lovely smellies. The bed was so comfy. The views from our room were amazing, I did ask for a Seaview and was not disappointed. We could see the sea, the river and the town. There is a lovely big garden with plenty of benches. We sat and had a jug of pimms. The restaurant menu was good, we had the most delicious steak ever. Breakfast was buffet, cereals, juices etc. They bring you your choice of fry up to you. Don't be misled by the menu that says £12.50, this is for outsiders, residents are free. We were in Room 2. The area is lovely, lots of walks, a little gem of a place, it's lovely as there are no big shops, all little shops, the atmosphere is really lovely. We went up on the railway tram to Lynton, about £3.50 each way per person, which again is a lovely place to visit. You can also walk up. We went for a walk one evening and there were a group of singers doing folk music, we didn't know it was on so be sure to find out these things, there was also lots of little stalls during the day up in Lynton selling lots of things from £1 to £10. If you like to collect sea glass there is plenty, mostly small bits, if you sit and dig a hole you will find loads. You really won't be disappointed. Please see all my photos

Where to start?only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. We had a horrible stay . hotel closed on arrival but opened later just to let us in as the hotel is closed on a Monday even though they have guests staying?no bar, no restaurant, no reception or staff of any kind available! Room shown on booking.com was shown as a deluxe room which doesn?t exist as told to me by the receptionist when I showed her the picture of the room we booked. For £150 we got a tiny room with a tiny bed and a smelly bathroom probably worth about £70 for the night and that?s being generous. Awful hotel in a good location but I wouldn?t waste your money!!

Great service here, beer garden is great with lots of tables and an easy to find bar. Excellent food, well presented and a good menu. Just one thing though?. please drop the loud crazy jazz in the restaurant!
